    Did I quick write up on the other forum. Here's the link - Copied and pasted from the other site as requested;

    Hi all,

    Just thought I'd share how I figured how to tap to the dome light since there is no other post about it. This is for wanting to have accessory lights to turn on and off with the dome light. For me, I added footwell lights to my 3rd row as there is no lighting back there for the kiddoes.

    First off, I fished a wire from the rear right passenger headliner to the opening for the dome light. The overhead grab handle would need to be removed first. I ran the wire down the B pillar and down under the footwell trim to the rear wheel well.

    To remove the housing you can read about it in this thread; Once you remove the housing there is a small block that houses the electrical. You can pry up at 4 corners with a small screwdriver to release.

    Once off, there is a metal housing/cover that simply pops off - just pry up. I left it off after as I needed the extra space for wires/terminals.

    You can see with the red and black wires shown which side will give you power and which is ground. You will have to use your creativity here on how you tap/connect to these points - I will leave that up to you.

    So far it works like a charm! The lights I installed even dim with the dome light!

    Hope this helps anyone looking to do something similar!

    I added a strip light to the upper part of the wheel well pocket. As you can see, there is an angled portion that gives the perfect direction to aim the light. Here is a shot of the end result.

    I ended up addling lights to the other side. Here is the result.

    Cool! Do you mind copy and pasting that right up into this thread? The other site is too full of pop-ups to use.

    I wired to the rear hatch cargo lamp.
    Such a pain to run that wire thru the rear hatch.

    Yes it is! I did the same for my rear cargo lights. I installed them on the trim covers that gives you access to the tail lights.

    Lights on the trim covers is a nice touch.

    Decided to change the LED strips for an LED bolt. Bit more discreet and not super bright but enough for what I need it for.
