Anyone see or buy the Ironman Raid rear bumper?

I love the look, and with the current sale it's under 700 shipped, unless I missed some fine print.

I'm really tempted bc I like the style and look, but am questioning the usefulness since it doesn't seem like are any accessories available for it, such as a tire carrier or fuel tank mount.

I really want a rear tire mount!

Agreed thats a great looking bumper. You could always still do a hitch mounted tire carrier and still likely be at a lower weight than a full rear set up! Check out SSO, Westcott Designs, Dirtcomusa and others

Looks like the light weight Aluminium products have a Hefty price vs the steel ones have Ironman weight

I'm sure it has a good bit to do with the fact that the Ironman ones are probably mass-produced in a factory in China, while the Hefty ones are apparently handbuilt by gnomes in the depths of Mordor.

I just can't with the price of bumpers for these things.

Ehhhhhh those hitch mount carriers are all stupid expensive for what they are too. I think the best bet is to just buy a Jeep XJ or JK bumper, and just figure out how to attach it to the factory hitch. I feel like that's going to be the most cost effective way to do it. I mean, just weld a piece of receiver tube to the bottom of it and it'll probably pop right in the factory receiver hitch just like one of these tire carriers.

Maybe I should make it my winter project to learn how to weld and just fab the thing myself.

That tube/plate combo is the style I've been waiting for someone to come out with.

More about clearance and protection than accessorizing. That said, if you have a welder, it looks easy enough to add a swingout carrier to the ironman.

I am thinking about the Ironman bumper as well. I prefer the clean look with the spare underneath like in the photo. I plan to go with tall skinny tires so the spare fits under.

I have a 285/70-17 spare underneath. It's visible under stock bumper. Wonder how bad it would look hanging below the Ironman bumper...

I really like the idea of the swing out carrier, just to make the spare easier. I have a slow leak in one of my tires right now, and I really want to just pull it off and take it to get fixed. I'm going to have to leave it on a jack stand, because I genuinely don't think I'm going to be able to get the spare out from underneath. It'll be so much easier to just pull it off the back like on a Bronco or Jeep.

Like you said, that plate and two bumper looks so clean, I love that style. Most of the other we are bumpers that come out of these giant monstrosities, and I don't like the look, and wouldn't want to add that much weight. The only other rear bumper that I really like is the Nguyn Works, and I can't imagine how much those cost or what the lead time is.

If you like it, jump on it. I think with the discount without lights, it's like 675. That's a steal for a rear bumper.

I may jump on it too actually.

Yeah, that definitely has a clean look to it. It might show a lot of the spare, which may look not so clean, but otherwise I think the look is fantastic. Post if you decide to get it!
