    Looking for some feedback on 270 Awnings, currently running with Sherpa Cresent roof rack with light bar, thinking about adding 270 awnings and wanted to see if the community had some good to know, I may not have found on shop sights and/or posts currently running on here. I am not 100 percent all in on the 270 trying to compare the cost of the standard awning with side walls, just looking for something for shade and overhead while out and about.

    Currently looking at Freespirt rec/Alu/ and OverlandWraptor so far, I like Bush products but they are too $$ unless someone knows of stateside dealers to avoid extra shipping fees.

    The biggest concern is opening the rear lift, making sure it will not affect the awning. Appreciate any feedback.

    I had a OVS 270 on my Smittybilt trailer and loved it. I am currently running a 180 23Zero on my rig attached to a full length Frontrunner. Love it!! Debated on 270 but it would completely interfere with the lift gate. I also have the wall that zips on. It’s a great set up!

    That has been m main concern hat when deployed I could not keep rear hatch open. How often that would happen not sure but for day trips to the beach to allow the dogs the ability to jump in rig and sleep or just quick access to the cooler and goodies without opening and closing and worrying about the lift causing damage to the awning. Nice rig BTW!

    i actually think the lift gate becomes the other 90deg in the and more or less makes it 270.

    I am in the market for a Sherpa rack as well and debating either a 270 or 180 deg awning for the exact same reasons with interfering with the liftgate.

    That's a nice setup. I was originally looking to have mine on the passenger side, but now I am second guessing it after seeing this pic. What awning is that awning in the pic? Appears to be a 270 degree.

    @Brookieguy

    Its the 23zero 270. I don't own it, I have the 180 and it is robust. I would figure the 270 is worth a look.

    Good Luck!
