Just wanted to share my experience with this guy. I ordered back on 4 November 2021 with an estimated 12 week lead time…which was fine.

I sent a message around the 12 week mark to see if it was still on track and he said there was a delay in parts…ok that’s fine I understand.

I followed up every 3-4 weeks and he gave me excuse after excuse. Since March he has been giving me the runaround and last I heard from him was 23 June. I asked for a refund and now he doesn’t respond to any of my messages (as of yesterday 7 September).

I filed a complaint with my credit card company and luckily they refunded my money and are currently doing their investigation to take action.

    You’ve been warned…buyer beware.

I recently cancelled mine as well. Ordered in February this year and was told 12 weeks. Had seen a couple of messages from previous year about delays but chalked it up to covid (everyone was having issues). After 3 months he stopped responding and I started seeing posts of people still waiting for over a year. Just before the 6 month mark (the limit for PayPal disputes) I filed a dispute and he had almost a month to respond to that but never did. I just recently got my refund

Yep, that's the thread I'm talking about (there was one on the other 4runner forum as well). Up through January there was talk of delays but people were getting them. Then, about 2 weeks after I ordered, you can see the messages about crazy wait times and no communication. He ghosted me after 3 months just like everyone else

Only a continuation of what you already know...
Mark with Detours Of Maine received $777.00 on October 4th 2021 for a RidgeRunner tire carrier. He failed to supply the carrier in the 12 weeks as agreed, March 10th 2022 he assures me he'll get one out in the next several weeks and has ghosted me since. No communication, no tire carrier, no refund. Off-Road family be very cautious where you choose to spend your money to avoid being scammed by the likes of Detours Of Maine.

Sorry to hear that. Try going through your credit card company or bank that is linked to PayPal. I noticed he either blocked me or deleted his Facebook account.
