Visiting Denver for a few days, and saw this SR5 outside Atomic Cowboy tonight. You in here?

I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new from old stock 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
I'm putting it on my calendar now so I don't forget.

Any suggestions for overlanding, camping with emphasis on mountain biking in MN?

We are driving from Houston to the Vail area at the end of June and would like to stay as back country as possible. Maybe fire roads or trails that are easy, as I am still working my rig and a beginner. Thank you for your suggestions.

Not much introduction before I started calling out @Sean266. I mainly stick to the Tacoma world forum but I'll try and get a build thread going over here.

As I hinted I used to have a Tundra (the back can be seen in this pic) but found it too big to do the kind of 4wheeling I like. I had a 4th gen 4runner before my wife took it over. I wanted it back so the only solution was to get her, her own.

Doing some work today. Pulling out some junky interface for Ipod controls with the OEM radio and XM I think. Installing a newer radio and dash pad.

I'll be doing this to my 4runner in the coming weeks also. I'll be adding a DIN sized radio and CB stacked in the OEM location. My dash pad is good though so no replacement for me.

Addicted Off road, though it took a very, very long time to get with very poor communications I'm happy with the way it looks and functions. My lame build thread in Tacoma world kinda discusses my issues.

When are you going to start building the wife's 4runner? You know you want to

Not yet. I have a gentleman coming to look at it Friday evening. If it falls through I may give Jim a call and see what he is willing to offer.

I know that guy with the Old Man Tan 4th gen. Wait maybe I shouldn't claim that. :p

Anyways just joined today and just picked up a 2018 SR5 Premium. It's the wife's grocery better but it's gonna get some mods. Already leveled it up front with new Eibach springs and put some RCI slider/steps on it. More coming in the next couple weeks. Cheers!

    Changes are already being made.

So had it a week and have already done:

    • New Eibach springs on the front to raise it 1.5"s nearly level
    • RCI slider/steps. A must for the primary driver
    • Weathertechs from front to rear
    • Weathertech rain guards
    • Tint on the front windows to match
    • Clear bra on all the key parts
    • HID Headlight kit
    • LED Yellow Fog lights
    • New Cooper ST MAXX tires will be installed soon
    • ICON Alpha wheels in gray will be installed soon
And then we will let it breath for a bit. :D

Huge thanks to Toytec Lifts for having everything I need available. One stop shopping is so nice! :)

You're killing me with Petra's new mall crawler / grocery hauler. The closest this thing is getting to offroad is highway construction zones, right? :jellydance: :stirthepot:
