New guy, 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4 - Question

Hello colleagues,

Somehow I managed to swap-out my 2012 Plug-in Prius for my son's 2000 4Runner Limited...(pause for laughter), and I see why my son enjoys this machine so much. It's fairly perfect, engineering-wise. Don't feel sorry for my son too much though, we're gonna swap-back after I finish some maintenance items on the 4Runner.

Yesterday, I removed the old (year 2000 starter, a Toyota Denso) and replaced it with a new Denso. That was an interesting experience with respect to the extension tools (an 18" and 24" 3/8" socket wrench with a wobbler end on the 14mm deep socket)... but I digress. Got it done & it works perfectly.

However, as I was finishing assembly, a small "L-shaped" aluminum tube (maybe 1/4" diameter) fell to the driveway as I was two re-connecting the two (2) 12mm brake line bolts...before I'd reconnected the top-half of the transmission dip stick housing assembly.

The color of the "L-shaped" tube is aluminum (no paint). One end is cut on a 45-degree angle with an "insert stop" ridge.

Anyone ever see this item before? Anyone know where it goes? Please tell me it doesn't go behind the starter! Lol

This looks like to be the drain pipe for the AC. I don't access to my car but I surmise it gets attached somewhere on the passenger side to the firewall or perhaps to a hose that comes out of the firewall.

I'm just VERY glad the L-tube doesn't go behind the starter! Thanks again, colleagues.
