Differential Breathers 2017 TRD PRO

Going to ask a stupid question so take pity on me as this is my first Toyota...does the front diff have a breather on it as all the posting I see only mention the rear diff breathers and nothing on the fronts...if there are front breathers which my gut tells me there are...does anyone know where they are normally routed to i.e. engine bay or ?

Yes, tranny and front diff breathers are almost as high as your plastic cover on top of your engine bay. They are off to the right if your facing the engine, kind of over by the master cylinder and above your drivers side exhaust manifold. Pretty easy to spot, just two innocent looking hoses going up with little silver cap looking things on the top, which are the breathers

The fact that they are already - in most cases - higher than the rear gas cap - which is where most people put the extended breather - means you don't need to change it. Only way I would update my front and tranny breathers would be if I got a snorkel, and even then i"m not sure I would want to induce the pressure from my snorkel into my diffs and tranny

 

Many thanks!! I thought I read on another posting that the front was ran into the engine compartment so good to have confirmation! Going to have the rear relocated up to the gas filler housing so I don't have to worry when I go swimming
