They even sell aftermarket relocation brackets for the tss sensors which blows my mind considering how much we freak out about a lift messing up a 4runner.

Which is why I doubt the lift caused the radar malfunction. My bet is that the sensor is physically broken.

1 inch or 2 inch lift whatever Tomato Tomoto. I did read the posts. Sarcasm was intended. My point is calibration should work unless Toyota has different brackets for 4Rs Pro of which I do not know. Or the dealer had techs that didn't know what they were doing which is not surprising. Since it seems newer 4R Pro are equipped with these options you would think this shouldn't be an issue. If there was an aftermarket bush bar, grill change or something obstructing the sensor that's different. But a lifted 4R should not be anything new to a competent dealer.

Re-read what he said. He said it was "broken" not misaligned. So by that, every time someone adds a trailer or a boat to their rig, and it squats in the rear, the radar unit becomes useless? Reason #193 I'm not a fan of nanny equipment.

re-read what i said, its broken from dealer words. But you need re-calibration if not they will say broken , then owner have nothing to back it up. Even a defect radar they will blame YOU for any mods you did.

who says adding the rear trailers or boat will not work? even will not work, dealer will recommend what you should do and have no reason to make you PAY. MODS are different.

Can someone kindly validate whether adding a 2 inch lift will cause this to happen? I’m about to buy the Eibach lift kit. I’m a new 4Runner owner with a 2022. I don’t want to do all the lift work only to have this happen

You're fine I've lifter 3 5th gens personally with tss and no issues. Not to mention the literal tens of thousands of lifted tss 5th gens out there. Of course if you lift too high (above 3 inches) you'll probably have issues not only with tss but your driveline as well

Im not gonna argue. "its broken from dealer words." Broken to a dealer and broken to Toyota mean the same thing on paper. Thats what matters. Since it cant be re-calibrated according to the dealer, it is nothing more than a useless paperweight unless you know how to recalibrate it?

Bottom line it clearly depends on the rig whether you will have a problem or not.
It clearly depends on the dealer as to how they will handle your vehicle with a lift and a warranty claim.

Bottom line, re-calibrated it right away if you lift your car. Even best to have the dealer do it.
