I bought interior led kits from HIDKITPROS.com. Great company, quick service, well packaged products and high quality led lamps. When removing the old bulbs, I found wrapping double sided tape on a pair of needle nose pliers to be most effective.

This link to youtube gives a great demo of how to replace each interior light.

    Hello,
I have a 21 Lunar Rock Pro and I used these Brishine's from Amazon. Only $20, they are an Amazon choice, and have nearly 500 reviews, 4.5 out of 5. Totally recommend and they include the prying tool to open the plastic covers.
-includes Interior Map Lights, Dome Lights, Vanity Mirror Lights, Glove Box Lights, Footwell Lights, Courtesy Door Lights, Trunk Lights and License Plate Lights (16 LED bulbs total).
    -2 year warranty as well

i used HIDKITPROS as well and they have been great. no flickering or anything. i put red in the maps and hatch and white in the dome, then white in the doors. very happy. and definitely take note of the double sided tape trick, it works wonders and you wont frustrate yourself. i actually somehow knocked a bulb up and out into the MTS selector thing and ended up having to take it down anyhow. just take it down first, its easy. will save you some mental anguish haha.

IMO, searches can be a PITA. I certainly don't mind answering a question multiple times if needed.

Just letting you all know that these 31mm does not fit 2021s dome light.
(They fit on my 2018 & 2019 as show on above videos. But when I try today on my 2021 TRD Pro it does not fit)

I tapped mine on the ends "very gently" with a small hammer, about 6 taps until they were 29mm in length (1mm shorter on each end), and they fit in perfectly. I had the same issue with my FJ Cruisers.

At least for me so I don't have to strain my eyes to see at night.
This helps especially when we stop for a snack at night we have plenty of light. More like more comfortable light for the kid vs a very dim light that could make the kiddo cranky.

Thank you. Looks like the same kit sold on Amazon.
I will see if I can just get a 29mm for the dome. I got some left overs.

    Update -

As per reviews dome light seem to have same problem for newer 4Runners. They seem to provide same 31mm for dome lights.

Lot's of reasons to do this upgrade. Better visibility, less power consumption and holy cow do those little incandescent bulbs get HOT! Over time that will yellow your lenses. The tape on the pliers works well. After completing this just now I would like to point out the metal retaining clip on the right side of the assemblies in the rear hatch. It's shown in the video but if you miss it you will NOT get those suckers out. The tightest space to pull a bulb from is the map lights. I used forceps which did the trick. I didn't mess with the glove box light, not worth it. Autogine kit off of Amazon.

I just got mine from www.precisionled.com, I opted for the premium, took me maybe 45-60 min to complete. Came with all the pry tools, no worry on polarity with the premium kit. The YT video they have was very helpful as well. I did the map, vanity, courtesy, dome, trunk and license plate lights for my 2022 TRD Pro.

I’m thinking about switching to either green or red in the rear hatch and the map lights. I’m trying to determine what lumens I should go for. Does anyone know how many lumens the factory ones put out?

Just a random tip if you happen to stumble on one, but the MESO domes from the 3G tacomas fit in these as well

LED lamps have much more competitive advantages. Firstly, the service life of a halogen lamp is much lower. Anyway, a halogen is still an ordinary incandescent lamp, even if it is pumped up with a mixture of nitrogen, argon and some kind of halogen. And over time, the lamp thread burns out. Yes, the technology provides for a small restoration of the filament: the detached tungsten atoms combine with halogens, halide molecules are formed, which disintegrate near the filament. The tungsten atoms partially return to the filament. This is the so-called halogen cycle. You can buy car lighting using websites.

I replaced interior lights on 05 Limited, every thing works fine except for the door courtesy lights, they flicker.

I couldn’t figure out how to get the bulb out of the glove box to swap it to led. Is it just a pull out method ;)? Or do I have to pry the panel down? Haven’t been able to find a vid or post about how to change it. Cheers.
