So I decided to start this build thread a bit early to help with the planning of my new 4Runner. I got the notification that I was allocated a 4Runner ORP in Lunar rock on 9/21/22, and was told that it should arrive within 23 days.

This will be my first Toyota, I am coming from back to back Miatas. The size is going to take a bit of getting used to.

Upon delivery I plan to detail the car myself.

My Ideas going forward are as follows:
    Upgrade wheels.
Install Black TRD Pro Grill (hoping to find one without the TOYOTA writing on the grill)
Paint or coat front silver cutout on factory front bumper (might do rear as well)
    Add TRD Skid Plate
Add Running boards (raptor steps don't work for me)
Upgrade Factory stereo equipment with Focal and Audio Control (I am a Home dealer of both lines...*FingersCrossed* they will help me out with the project)
    Ceramic Heat rejection tints
    and more

    Car Detailing Plan:

    1. Stripping: First I have to strip down the car of any Dealership/factory decals, waxes sealants etc. I'll remove the Off Road badging here. I am on the fence to remove the TRD C Pillar badge as well.
    2. First Wash: I will use a mix of Chemical Guys (CG) Clean Slate and Mr Pink in a foam Cannon and two bucket method.
    3. Clay-bar Paint if necessary. If the paint feels like it has a bunch contaminates embedded in the paint.
    4. Ceramic Coating - I have not decided which coating I am going to use yet.
    5. Wax
    6. Interior Scotch Guard all carpets and floor mats

    Upgrade Plan: (with Thought Process)

    1. Upgrade wheels - I want to create a deeper contrast between the paint and the wheels. I think using black wheels (such as the TRD Pro Black wheels - Part PTR20-35110-BK) set the perfect balance. I will have to try and see if I can find a better and more unique wheel for my use. I will not be off-roading this 4Runner, so the plan for now is to transfer the new tires, as sell the factory wheels
    2. I want to install an aftermarket TRD Pro grill, without the Toyota script. I think this will improve the style of the front of the Vehicle without major surgery
    3. Install Blackout Emblem Overlays. Simply to continue the trend with the rest of the truck, Simplify the color scheme and stick to a Lunar Rock and Black with some Red Accents. While I'm here, I will remove the Off Road Emblems, and just leave the TRD side emblems. It has too much writing on the side for my taste. Not sure if to use the Toyota Part of a third party, as this seems silly to pay the Toyota premium for. (Part PT948-89200-02)
    4. Install Red D Rings or recovery points on the front
    5. Install TRD Skid Plate - Continuing on the red accents pathway (Part PTR60-89190)
    6. Add Running Boards -
    7. Ceramic Tints - Currently getting prices for LLumar F1 ceramic tints, 3M Ceramic IR, and Xpel Nano ceramic tints - I want a tint that doesn't lean brown - Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    8. Upgrade Factory speakers and amp with Focal and Audio Control - I will have a full thread on this when the time comes.
    9. Paint or coat front silver cutout on factory front bumper (might do rear as well) - help here would be greatly appreciated

They must have. Seems to be a standard color now, when before it was a TRD Pro only color. Also, the Ford Bronco has a similar color as an option.

No pictures yet, I wish I could, but the Truck is still likely on the water.

    Thanks
