    Hey guys,

I am trying to figure out if the FOX suspension that I just bought for my 2005 4th gen will fit my wife's new 2020 sr5 premium?

I have a 2005 4x4 sr5 v6 with only 85k miles and I love the truck... It was bone stock when I bought it, so I bought some Fox 2.5's resi's and Camburg UCA's for up front. Then some Fox 2.0 resi's in back with some 1.5" eibach lift springs. I was about to start installing the suspension a few weeks ago, then my wife found a 2020 sr5 premium 4x4 that she fell in love with.

Long story short, I couldn't talk her out of it, so we now own both 4runners. She definitely doesn't mind me keeping the 4th gen, but She is NOT selling hers. Period.

I am just not sure I want to keep both of them, seems redundant. But I really enjoy the 4th gen, and I just dropped $3,500 in the Fox suspension mentioned above. From what I can find, it looks like the suspension and UCA's that I ordered for the 4th gen may actually work on the 5th gen, minus the rear lift springs?

Can anyone with first hand knowledge actually confirm or deny this???

    Thanks in advance guys,
    Dave

Yea, basically our complete kits for 4Runners work from 2003 until now. You should be good to go. However, does the new 4Runner have KDSS? Do you have part numbers for the shocks you got by chance?

I am actually not sure if it has KDSS… guess i need to look tonight. i do have the part numbers below:

Fox 2.5 FS Coil Over DSC 0-3"
    SKU: FOX-883-06-130

FOX 2.0 PERFORMANCE SERIES REMOTE RESERVOIR REAR SHOCK SET
    (985-24-117or118)
    SKU: FRS-985-24-118-X2
    2-3 inch Lift

CAMBURG UNIBALL UPPER CONTROL ARM SET
    SKU: CAM-310036

OLD MAN EMU 2895E REAR COIL SPRING SET
    SKU: ARB-2895E

Also, could I ship these to Accutune for a specific tune for the 2020 SR5? If so, what would it cost us?

    thanks,
    Dave

Sweet, those are some nice parts. I'm not familiar with those rear springs, hopefully they are in that 2-3" range.

If you do have KDSS, I would suggest getting these KDSS drop brackets, especially paired with those shocks. It will help everything clear properly.

And yes you can send in those shocks to us for a revalve. We would tune them for your preference and likely our Adventure Tune. Its about $120/each for tuning + $25 spring removal fee. (FREE) if you purchased through us.

SR5 do not have KDSS. So don't have to worry about KDSS lift problems. I guess all you need to check is if 4th gen suspension same as 5th gen or not.

Thought that was the case, thanks.

OP should be good to go then assuming those springs match up to those shocks

Yeah, I see those 895E 1.5in light duty coils used in 4th gen, never seen them used in 5th gen. I used ARB889 coils for my 5th gen. May be 5th gen is heavy? But rear springs are pretty cheap and I bet its no big deal for OP to get matching rear coils if needed.

Love to hear what the out come is with OP working with you for a nice build.

For a Tacoma? Ok... (I mean, I wont be runnin either, for the for see-able future, but)
But ya,.. have a much heavier 4 runner here, hell Ryan even talks about "OEM weight". That aint me lol.

But, Accutune, knows what the hell they are doing. Shit ton of their gear through out my years. SHIT ton. Id roll with their gear, and input, vs many, MANY others.

Jesus, i had NO idea, their UCA's where avalible or even out ?!?! Ive spoken to Kai several times about these dropping, and had NO idea !!!. I havent bought any uca's as, i dont really need them atm (285/70/17s) because oem has been beyond fine. But, talking with Kai, the Accutune units, would be the ones id buy, and run, and have been waiting. I had zero idea they were out in the wild, and will be ordering now.

Decided to just keep both runners and put the suspension on the 4th gen. Super happy with how it turned out. Just going to leave the wife's 5th gen stock... for a while :)
