What's a 2005 SR5 Sport 4.7 V8 118k worth?

I have a 2005 SR5 Sport with a 4.7 V8 118k miles. paint on hood not good exhaust leak, other wise fine want to sell and pick up a new model can anyone give me an idea what i should get for it? Thanks Bill

Welcome, Bill. Pictures and a location would be a good start. I'd start by looking for similar vehicles on Auto Trader, etc. then adjusting my price as needed.

Seriously, I would start by checking to see what you would get as trade. Does you state offer a tax break for trading in? I would check carmax and stuff like that.

Get some picts up here, and maybe folks will be a little more helpful, but you need to take the wise cracks with the good info. The wise cracks keep your thread up on the main page so folks can see it.

 

How can you expect members to give you a price on a vehicle they have not seen? If you are not willing to take the time to at the very least post some pics, and give a little better info about it, why should we waste our time trying to guess what condition it is in?

 

Ok I get it more info would certainly help however I didn’t know I could post pictures not very computer savvy. The first post was to get the ball rolling. I guess it’s easy tell that I have never done this type of thing before and wasn’t expecting the type of answers I received. I think I will just step away from this and leave it to you guys. I will do more research on my own . Thanks

 

Hey Bill. Welcome to the forum! Stick around! Sometimes it’s kinda like hanging out in the garage with your buddies in here.

Have you ever used the Kelly blue book website? You can type in a bunch of info about your truck. Much of it you can select from drop down menus. And then you can select buy, sell, or trade in values, depending on where you’re located.

It’s not exact… but does kinda give you a ballpark value of your vehicle. You might have some luck with it.

 

No sense in bailing out now, you got the hard part done. The first few posts are a little intimidating but your over that now. At the bottom of the page there is 3 blue boxes, hit upload file, then choose where your pics are coming from, pick the pics you want and hit post.

 

What your rig is worth is very relative. If someone walked up to me today and asked what my 05 V8 is worth to me I'd respond with "hand me the keys to an AEV outfitted Ram 2500 Megacab diesel with all the trimmings". Thats what its worth to me. Cause thats what they asked.

What can you sell it for? KBB is your best bet to start there posted above. If you have any mods you may be able to argue a little higher. Pictures and location will help us more right now you have very little info to go on.

 

I'll raise it to $6.50!
