I have the Jackery 500. Depending on how hot the 4Runner interior is and how low you set the fridge temperature, you it can power it for 2-4 days with no charging.

I’m thinking of getting their folding solar panel to charge it while parked at a campsite.

Charging, while driving, from the AC inverter through the Jackery power brick inputs about 24V into the Jackery. It charges with about twice the power (and faster) as a 12V power outlet.

I own these panels. They’re not on sale now but they can be wired in series or parallel

I bought this Bibene battery because it’s price was unbeatable. Now it’s a different name

This thread makes me feel really old school. I still use a regular old school igloo piece of junk with a broken drain plug cap that still works. Just add food, a couple of Cooler Shock ice packs, and small bag of ice. Good to go for 3 days. :p

First, thanks so much everyone. I really do appreciate the plethora (and overwhelming) amount of knowledge shared here. I am going through reading and re-reading posts and clicking all them links. I am excited for an ice free future. Do I have this right, Jackery plugged into 4R's cigarette outlet upfront or in rear, straight to the new fridge? No inverter needed or anything else? Which Jackery do you all recommend? I guess I pick a fridge from one of the links. Thank you!

Thank you! I think this is my future combo. I was looking at the Anker power blocks because the name recognition but Jackery is maybe even bigger. Which Jackery do you recommend?

Outstanding! Thank you!! That does look nice and simple. I think I might a bit bigger but I am going to check out that site. Thanks again!

That dual option is fantastic! I am so old school. You plugged that combo set directly into the 4R's outlet? No middle man! Oh! Nice. Great info. Thank you. I just need the fridge to get me through a 4-5 hour drive to my destination. I don't anticipate being without power.

OH! Thanks for the clarification. I thought I was missing something. That sounds simple and what I need. Which Jackery are you using/recommend?

OUT.STANDING. Thank you. I love me a good promo code. I am checking that one out too. Thank you!

HA! Raw food for my dogs is one of the large reasons I need this too.

Yes I drove all the way from North Carolina to Arizona and then back a week later and obviously powered off several times for gas fill ups and a plethora of potty breaks for the kiddos. Anyways I just plugged directly into the cigarette lighter or you could plug into the power converter in the back. It comes right back on when you turn your car on (assuming you use the cigarette lighter). If using the power connector in the back just make sure to press the power inverter button as it turns off.
I can recommend Jackery as well. I have the Jackery 1000 with 2x 100w solar panels. It works great but if you don’t plan on using it outside the car I wouldn’t buy one personally.

So great. Thank you! I have this fear that plugging one of those fridges into the vehicle's system would be taxing it too hard so I wasn't sure which of them I could run safely. That was my main concern and why I wanted to piggyback off what many of you have been doing with the Jackery. Plus, it makes for a nice "juuuust in case" backup. Sounds like I don't need to worry too much about a vehicle fridge as long as it runs off a cigarette lighter plug.. I think.

How do you like the solar panels? Plug play as well? Those are intriguing. Didn't know if they were as good as I am hoping. Thanks again for the help.

The Jackery supplies 12V 10A, some USB 5V 2.4A charging outlets, and a 110VAC 500W (inverter) output. I have the Explorer 500 which works for my fridge. If you can handle the cost a 1000W would give you more run time.
Keep track of the website, they often have sales. Probably one is coming up for the Fourth of July.

When the sun is out I get more power from the solar panels than my fridge uses so technically speaking I run the fridge and am charging the battery at the same time.

yes the solar panels are plug and play. You can check it out on Jackery website

When the weather is good, I often go out camping, recently did not travel far, but many camping experience tells me that I always need to be able to quickly charge and durable outdoor batteries, also looked for many products to do a comparison, and finally I found a very fast charging solar generator Growatt Infinity 1500, through four solar panels Solar charge about in 2.5 This is the speed I like.

I recently purchased a Setpower AJ40 and Jackery 500. I considered the Bluetti battery pack, which I think is superior to the Jackery in many categories but in reading reviews it was much louder then the Jackery and when using the inverter, even louder. The Jackery is silent when using DC and the inverter fan only comes on when needed, but I am not planning to run the unit much using AC.

In two different tests, I was able to get over 48 hours of run time on the AJ40, plugged into the Jackery 500. I had the fridge set on Eco Mode and 33 degrees and it was pre chilled prior to connecting to the battery pack. Hooked up to the 12v in the rear of the 4Runner, the Jackery will pass through to the AJ40 and stay topped off at 100% when the truck is running.

Hopefully the reliability is there in the Setpower Fridge, cost was $279 shipped. First box came from FedEx and it took a super hard hit in transport. Through all the packing material and even deformed the clear plastic wrap around the fridge. Setpower promptly sent me new unit.

Got 5 different trips so far with this setup, my only disappointment is the wheels kind of suck on the cooler, it needs a lift.

Ours runs off of a "cigarette lighter" plug or the 100w. We used the 100 w earlier on a trip through Vegas, Flagstaff, Victorville (CA) and Gallup. Kept drinks cool but we had to remember to turn the 100w circuit on. Ours doesn't work as a frezzer but lowers temps by about 40 F.

    Kept my insulin well!!

I bought BIBENE power station, they later changed the brand name to FFpower, I also bought it, the quality is the same and the after-sales support.
    www.amazon.com/dp/B09N71MBCB
Although the appearance is the same as another one called Oukitel, I still like the service attitude of FFpower.

I've been using a Bougerv electric cooler for a few years now and I'm very happy with it. It's kept my food and drinks cold even in the hottest weather. I also like that it's more spacious than my old ice cooler since I don't have to pack ice.

I have the Iceco Go20 Dual Zone and I connect to the Bluetooth EB55 than to the 12v plug in the rear. We did 4300 miles this summer to Colorado and back to Pa with this setup. I don’t know what noise people are talking about the EB55 is pretty quite to me. This combo worked great. I picked up the EB55 from Lowe’s an since I have a Lowe's credit card I received another 5% off, $401.69 w/tax shipped. I looking at the new Iceco VL35 for a little bigger frig.
