Been done quite a bit, I was going to do this swap but ended up researching and 1uZ is a better swap for the 3rd gen, if you really want to do it consider the 1JZ-GTE VVTI as it's a Single turbo, makes pretty much the same power and with the VVTI it's super nice. if you do go the route of the 2JZ, go for the Aristo setup as it has the twins and the VVTI, trust me, TRUST ME the VVTI makes a huge difference on both JZ-GTE engines in daily driving ability, I can't even begin to tell you how much it helps in day to day driving with the torque and hp curve due to the vvti. I did the swap in a SC300 and I owned a 1JZ-GTE non vvti while in Germany for a bit, I could not belive they were the same engines. What is your goal for the build?

I have to say though, if your asking about motor mounts to get it in - your not ready to take on the project, for a JZ engine to fit your going to have to modify the front, typoically make the front setup removable, and modify the hell out of the firewall to have any space, will have to convert to e-fan and not a stock one as they are too big to fit between the accessory drive, and the radiator. Do some searches, not sure how many are on this forum but toyota120, 4x4wire, pirate4x4, and t4r all have build threads with this done.

What tranny do you have and what are you planning on using? The A340 version you have in yours if auto will bolt directly up to the JZ series engines, and they will handle the relative stock level of power, if you go up in power - very very easy to do - you will need to plan on beefing up tranny. I ran both a version of the R150, and an A340 behind them and of course I prefer the R150 iteration, but if you don't have it, good luck and break out your pocketbook for the engine/tranny package as an aristo 2jz with auto attached can be gotten for under 4k, and I'm going high there, the 1JZ with auto attached you can get for like 2300ish. Where are you located, if in/near florida I know the premier guys for these swaps. We have a 2jz-GTE VVTI BIG turbo Tacoma here, they are currently doing a 2JZ-GTE VVTI with massive twins in a single cab 2wd Tacoma as well.

They will support you and get you stuff remote if you want, and they are awesome with 1UZ swap as well, they have a kit now to convert pretty much everything to Coil on Plug using LSX coil packs etc.
