If I caught someone stealing mine I wouldn't even use weapons. Just my foot stomping on their head until i heard cracking and squishing noises coming from their head

My brother lives up in the hills of California. He caught someone trying to cut his last year and fired his starters pistol in the air.
The cop down the street came running as the thief was flat on the ground having shat themselves.

cop was cool, had no issues with my brother. The thief was crying senseless. Best part was he had the whole thing on a ring video and we laughed our asses off.

This stuff is happening all over my area also in Michigan. They love doing it in middle of night as cars are parked in driveway and they really like apartment complexes as well.

Sadly this will probably continue to get worse with our economy too. Its really ashame.

Unbelievable... this just happened to a guy in my band... on an old Honda Element, right in the parking lot of his work, broad daylight. Sadly the replacement cat cost more than his car is likely worth, but his insurance did cover it.

I recall seeing maybe here or some where else a year or two ago a dude in California crushed by a car (maybe civic) trying to get one off. He jacked it up slightly at night and the Jack slipped and killed him if I recall correctly. They found a body sticking out next morning.

Sadly in todays world those who are innocent and work hard to provide are the ones who would go to jail trying to protect your property from thugs.

The police just busted a cat thief ring in my small little town outside of Houston.

Seems like the way to solve this is to ban recycling centers from accepting cats, like Houston just did. I believe there's going to be a city-run location for accepting "used" cats where ID is required, etc.

Agree, I can’t confirm but I heard or read a story that commercial recycling centers are providing a prepaid shipping box for cats.

IMO the only way to eliminate the crime is to eliminate the motive. Perhaps the smart people could develop a cat that doesn’t require precious metals.

Well, she has a tattoo on her face, so making good decisions obviously isn't her strong suit.

The scrap industry is guilty here, too. How the hell do I have to show ID every time I take in scrap copper from work, but apparently they don't keep track of who is bringing in catalytic converters?

Assault seems like a reasonable response to theft, right? :notsure:

Life isnt Grand Theft Auto. These people are so desperate to not ahve a proper job, be a decent person, what else are they willing to do? Internet tough guys are a dime a dozen. Typing it into a forum is far easier than being a real tough guy.

I do enjoy it when I hear about people getting hurt while stealing them. But, I'm not about to assault someone and get myself in trouble.

Hopefully not trying to steal a catalytic converter?
