80% chance I will. ORP. Might go test drive 2022 next week if dealer has one for me to test drive. Then there is the age old question since the dawn of time KDSS or no KDSS.

I will most likely be getting Bilstein 5162/6112 or Ironman Pro suspension so not sure KDSS will give me much more if any improved handling

Any minor updates for 2023? Like head units, gauge cluster, etc?

I test drove both KDSS and non-KDSS and there was a noticeable difference not just in body roll in curves but also wandering on the highway (it was windy that day). I went with KDSS, not knowing if/when I would ever upgrade the suspension.

Now, over 3 years later, as I plan on putting on a dobinsons 2/1 with some weight added (aluminum low profile front bumper with 10k synthetic line winch, full roof rack and ladder, sliders, hitch mounted spare tire carrier and full skids on the wish list), I sometimes wonder if I should have gone non-KDSS because of the issues some have had with longevity, the drawbacks of lifting if not done correctly, and limits to long travel. If I had to do it again, knowing I would replace the suspension and go as far with the build as i have, I still don't know the answer. But i think i would have hated it until now without KDSS. Such is life, she's a keeper either way. I try to mitigate long term issues by keeping the control box covered in dielectric grease (or the spark plug substitute that Advanced Auto gave me) and try to realize 2/1 doesn't really require long travel. On top of that, I get the extra articulation of KDSS and have enjoyed the stable onroad manners for nearly a half decade.

There are no right or wrong answers, only decisions and acceptance of the outcome and so far I'm happy.

If you like gambling, you could always test drive the 2022, flirt with the idea of ordering a 2023, then beat up the dealer later this year for a '22 when the '23s hit the lot and they are trying to unload older inventory.

I think the major update is, it’ll still be impossible to get what 4R you want without waiting months

Only changes I saw was Blind spot on all trim levels and a few color changes. Still no dual climate control unless you’re in Canada.

I still think KDSS is perfect for people who will put on a lot of highway miles, and want the extra articulation for mild to moderate off-roading.

If you plan on hardcore off-roading, I'd skip it and delete a sway bar. Or, look into sway-bar disconnects.

If you're more concerned about the improved stability, a good suspension upgrade might be enough for you.

Of course, nothing can truly duplicate what KDSS does. But, you'll have to decide if it's worth adding a potential point of failure.

I'm still glad I have it. It's amazing to me to have a vehicle that can go so far off-road, and then has great highway manners for the ride home.

I’m impressed with the non-kdss ride on the highway. It’s really pretty comfortable. I wish I could experience the kdss sometime.

KDSS doesn't make the ride more comfortable or less comfortable. It reduces body lean, and adds articulation at low speed.
