    Hi guys

I'm getting intermittent heat in my 1996 2.7ltr 4 cyl Surf (4Runner) when I run my heater. When I bought my truck the radiator was full of rubbish and clearly hadn't been maintained. I've had the entire cooling system flushed and new coolant installed. I found a blown hose and have replaced that and burped the system. Now my heat is bad. Suggestions are a bad heater tap. I'm hoping it's that and not a blocked heater core. I can't find the part number for the heater tap. Can anyone direct me to a site that gives part numbers for these trucks?

those engines are notorious for getting trapped air in the lines to heater core, remove the heater hose at firewall and manually fill it with water.

most guys just add one of those radiator flush "tee" fittings there for purging the air and refilling if you ever drain the radiator
