I'm planning to tow a 4x8 enclosed U-Haul trailer about 150 miles on Friday.

I have a 2021 ORP with stock tires and no lift. Just curious if anyone has towed something similar and what the drop on your hitch was. I have a 2" drop currently and was hoping it would work.

    Thanks!

Your local U-Haul can measure it for you. Too many people got modifications to give yoy an accurate measurement.

I personally used this article and it works every time:

Oh, and my Highlander uses a 2 3/4 and is most likely lower than your hitch, so will it work? probably not if you want the optimum height.

Reason I have a rhino hitch.

Height adjustable and can change the ball in seconds.

The last time I towed something was in 2019 with a Tacoma. I have no need for a $300 hitch for a $27 U-Haul trailer rental every 3 years.

    Its super necessary.

Bigger the hitch the less people try to tailgate you.

For anyone who might find this in a search later, I ended up using a 2 inch drop. I have a 2 and a 4. One was a little high, and one was a little low. I think 3 would have been perfect.

The 4Runner handled the U-Haul trailer fine at 65 MPH on the interstate.
