I've never heard of such a thing. Does it just plug into your trailer light connector and simulate the resistance from light bulbs?

I found that it doesn't shut off if you have the air conditioning on, but I don't like to run the air conditioning unless it's really hot out.

I know on my friends Sierra pickup if you select tow/haul mode that nonsense turns off while towing. But we were towing a boat. He says it if you select tow haul mode regardless it shuts off that feature.

Too bad all models don’t have that button.

I think my brother's Ford has a button to disable it, but it must be pressed at every start-up.

This is why I will never work with a sales person that who thinks he knows everything unless he's an actual car nut. And you'll know real quick if the sales person is actually into cars, or just working to make some cash and trying hard to sell you whatever he can. Now if they don't know about cars but are up-front about that and are truly catering to a positive purchase experience, I'm all for that. Because they know most buyers are already educated and probably know more than they do about the cars they are cross-shopping. Which takes the pressure off them to sell you on a car and allows them to ensure the buying experience is a pleasant one.
