I picked up an 86 4runner in pretty good condition about two weeks ago. My mom had an 88 when I was kid so I'm kinda familiar with them. I've been researching and I know that some were shipped into the US with no back seat to cut Shipping cost. My question is has anyone seen a configuration like this? And what are some reccomended 3pt rear seat belts? I have 7 year old and im not to fond of him having a lap belt only. Thanks for any input.

In my old 85 4Runner I used Yukon 3rd row seats. Those have built in 3 point seat belts. Or you could try Merc Sprinter seats. Both fold as a whole unit so it's not as good as the OEM setup. Check out what's available on Craigslist in your area.
