I have a great '05 SR5 and would appreciate suggestions for performance upgrades that can be DIY. I am familiar with working on vehicles but I do not weld.
    Thanks!

    Define performance...

Not much you can do to boost HP #'s on these unless you literally apply boost in supercharger or turbo form. Suspension is pretty easy to improve height and ride though and there are a billion threads on here about that.

By the turn of this century, engineers pulled as much hidden power out of an engine as they could. Anything small you do won't make any difference and have a potential to make problems.

Best thing is to just try and make it run as well as it came from the factory. New oem plugs, wires. Balance and rated injectors. New MAF. Clean Throttle Body. New OEM air filter, fuel filter. Remove any dead weight.

Thanks! I cleaned the MAFS and am going to replace plugs. I considered replacing the coils at the same time, but I read in another thread that, unless a coil(s) is giving problems, it is better to leave them alone. Is it difficult to clean the throttle body?
Also, any suggestions as to why my fog lights stopped working? They are LED, and I have replaced their relay as well as the 15amp mini fuse. They worked for a few weeks after installation, but now will not turn on at all.
