    The University that I graduated from has red & black as their main colors so I got one of the college plates that's black. My brother got one that mentions coal (we are in KY) and it's black. Check with the Clerks office and see if there are some plates that are black that would work for you.

    One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.

    I view this like I do with any illegal item that can be added to a vehicle (too dark tinted windows, smoked lenses on any light, license covers, etc.). You are giving any law enforcement instant 'Probable Cause' they can pull you over for that violation and then anything can happen. It amazes me how many time I see on cops or Live PD (when they were on) pull someone over for tinted windows and they end up going to jail. There is nothing that would be found on me or my truck, but I find it best to avoid getting pulled over.

    Well the trick is to

    Either be a shitbag and have a totally stock, clean car that you inspect daily for lights, tire tread, etc., and which you operate at exactly the speed limit;

    or

    Don't be a shitbag and don't care if you have things wrong with your car and drive it anyway at 5 mph over the speed limit;

    But never both at the same time... because that's how heroin dealers go to prison...

    I had a girlfriend whose dad was a cop. He told me that they would NOT pull people over for minor things because they might want to pull them over some other time and it would give them "probable cause" to do so ("too low", "taillight out", etc.)

    Bought this one from Amazon. I have been in front of many police cars at stop lights, doesn't seem to be an issue.

    Area specific in my experience, some cops care and some don't. Here they're too busy with the constant homicides to worry about traffic shit.

    AS I said, cops don't sweat the small stuff. Let there be a get-away car that matches your description or be in the wrong part of town and see how fast you are hassled!
