Urgent: Need height measurement of '20-'22 TRD Pro w/ Wescott Lift

    As the title says, can someone who has installed this kit please tell me how tall the truck is (measured at the top of the roof so that the rack is not a factor) with the Wescott Designs Lift Kit for 2020-2022 models?

    My garage opening is 77" and my truck has the TRD Pro rack with the top bar removed so it sits at 74.5"

    Wescott told me to expect 3" overall height gain but this doesn't make sense as it's advertised as 2" front lift and 1.25" rear lift.

    I would really love to install this kit but am afraid it won't fit in the garage if the truck truly gains 3" of lift.

    Please help!

    Sorry I don't have that. But I guess 3in lift means 2in of lift for the body + 1in lift from tires when you change from 265/70R17 -> 285/70R17.

    72” to roof with original 265/70R17 tires and extra weight of custom drawers, full aluminum skids, winch. So probably add 1/4”-1/2” to normal weight truck. I gained 2-1/4” in front and 1-1/2” in rear with kit.

    Going to 285/70R17 tires will add additional 1/2”.

    Thank you. Mine measures 70” to the roof with the stock tires. So according to your measurement to the roof after the lift, the lift measured at the roof is about 2”, not 3” as per Wescott. This solves my problem as I have about 3.5” of clearance between my roof rack and the garage entrance at the moment so I’m Ok to install the lift kit! Happy day! Thanks for checking this out for me.

    No problem. But as I state above my weight is higher than factory. If your rig is basically factory weight, expect little more lift than my measurements.

    Noted! Thanks for the clarification. I think it will still be ok for me to ingest all the Wescott lift. And I just checked your signature…l also have the RCI transmission, transfer case and integration skid (I kept the TRD front skid) in aluminum. I don’t have the Victory roof rack or the fuel tank skid but do have a fair amount of audio equipment, some HAM radio gear and Dynamat so we may weigh the same!

    You probably know this, but if you have a conventional garage door opener, you can adjust the end point so it retracts further up rather than the bottom edge hanging down in the open position. This can give you a little more breathing room.

    With the pro rack and 285's your truck will not fit with 77" of clearance, I considered the wescott and eibach spring kit with 80" of clearance in my garage and it wouldn't fit by my measurements.

    Thank you. In my case it’s that the actual opening or frame of the garage door is shorter than the typical one by about 3”

    . Indeed. I have the stock tires and removed the top bat from the Pro rack. I have over 3” of clearance to enter the garage so with the Wescott lift I think I’ll be ok. The guys from Wescott scared me by telling me that the overall height of the truck will increase by 3” but I just don’t see how this could be and others report it’s around 2” so I think it will be ok.

    When I had my 2020 Pro I removed the rack. Did not like it and did the delete. Had 285’s and yes it would have fit in my garage but did not like the rack.

    You should be good to go, go slow if you have a lip into your garage.

    Thanks for all the input. The project is complete and the truck fits in the garage with a clearance of 1". The total height gained at the roof is 2". The lift resulted in 2" at the front axle and 1" at the rear. I'm very happy with the result. My goal was a mild lift with most rake eliminated while still fitting through the 77" opening of my garage.
