I'd go new 22 then you know the history of the vehicle and you get the warranty from scratch. Thats just me though for the incremental cost its a no brainer for me.

my coworker just got 1.9% on a 2022 bronco sport. having good credit can keep the rates tolerable.

Thats the most I will ever pay. I don't need a new vehicle so I can watch the car market crash and decide if I'm keeping the 4R.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Warranty and known history win in my book.

Anyone suggest to list the future plans for OP? I mean any mods OP wants to do or keep it stock?

    Eg -
If you go with 2019 Pro will OP want to lift it with good and comfy suspension and bigger tires? (You won't get much money for the basic Fox suspension and tire manufacturues do not recomend commong 285/70R17 tires on TRD Pro wheels.

Vs a 2022 TRD ORP with multi terrain camera package you are already getting better safety, better headlights, stock ORP wheels are wide for bigger tires 285/70R17 tires or even 34in 285/75R17 tires. OP can get longer and more comfy and adjustable shocks vs thinking about stock height shocks on Pro?

I do love the JBL sound on Pro (probably the only thing I like) but 2022 ORP has so much more. If I get a ORP with no moonroof and Multi terrain monitor package its a big win imo. (Yes, personally experienced moonroof problems).

If anyone thinking to upgrade non JBLs with OEMAudioPlus as of 2/7/2020 they said labor is flat $400, which is a very reasonable cost imo.

Not sure, Just a thought. Feel free to roast me if this is a dumb suggestion.

I always ask myself why would someone get rid of a vehicle so soon? Did something happen they don’t want you to know? Or can they not afford it? Or do they have so much cash they just get a new ride?

Especially with a 4R with its reputation why would someone sell soon.

Thats just me though I don’t trust too many people

I think the 2022 has a better infotainment system & gauge cluster setup, and a warranty is nice and being able to say you were the first and only owner and know exactly where and how the vehicle has been treated...18,000 miles ain’t a lot...but if it was used and abused meh not good. I didn’t want the thoughts of others flooring my vehicle @ 3 miles personally, or smoking in it putting it through bad car washes and having sex in it either haha!

He said it's Voodoo Blue. I doubt someone would go that far to fake a Pro. And IMO the only truly valuable thing about the Pro are the unique colors.

Well it's 3 years old, they may have just gotten bored with it. Clearly they didn't drive it very often. It could have been a second or third vehicle, and the owner maybe just decided to move on to a different "Toy" car.

If it was less than a year old, I'd assume it was someone who bought it because it "looked cool", but then realized they didn't like living with it. Lost of barely used Wranglers end up on the market for that reason.

Ahh, I missed that. It still seems suspiciously inexpensive.

The shocks are the only thing that adds off-road function. So, for people who are concerned about function, the shocks are the only real upgrade.

But, most of the people who buy the pro don't off-road them anyway, so I can see why the paint colors are a big deal.

Edit:. To be clear, I realize that most people who buy the 4Runner altogether don't offroad them, either.

The 22 has cross traffic alert/blindspot sensors under the corners of the plastic rear bumper. They are very expensive to replace and calibrate, and are oddly vulnerable if you accidentally back it up into something, or if you off road in situationwhere the bumper might get dragged.

That said, insurance would cover damage to that.

I got my 2018 SR5P in late 2019 with ~12K miles on it. Previous owner wanted to upgrade to a newer ORP. Sometimes the reason isn't shady at all :notsure:

Yep, that's what he told me. Pandemic kept them close to home and he wasn't using it. Also fuel price concerns. He seemed legit.

Hi, first, thanks for the advice and comments. I decided to put in an order for a 2023 TRD Off Road. Now the wait begins. .. 6 months (Western Canada)!
