Is there a way to check the transmission fluid on a 2013 4Runner? This is the first modern vehicle I have ever owned and I don't see a dipstick for the trans fluid. I know many modern vehicles have sealed transmissions that are designed for service by a service facility.

    No dip stick.

Can check the fill level like how you would refill but its a PITA. If you are going to go through that trouble might as well change it too.

It's a check/fill plug on the trans itself.

Edit: it's in the bottom of the pan but don't confuse it with the drain.

Thanks for the feedback. This confirms that there is no dipstick. I'll just have it serviced since I got this used.
