For a long time I wanted to do a quad diode dynamics ss3 setup in my OEM bumper. Never saw anyone else do it and didn't think I was going to spend money on a second set. I had the fog sports and recently picked up some pros for a killer deal.

When trying to mount them in the lower grille you will find the pods with the universal bracket sit to high to be on the front bumper. It cuts off about 20% of the top portion. I noticed some existing holes at the back of the bumper so I decided to utilize them. Especially since they are already lined up really well for some lights. I figured if I could find a flat bracket that would allow me to connect to the holes and then to the light on top of the bumper, I would be solid.

Though I could have made this, I came across this bracket that works beautifully.

I decided to drill out the brackets so I could use two self tapping screws to hold it down, then painted the bare steel. For the pre existing holes a 3/8 inch self taping screw works great. Add some washers and you are golden.

To do the wiring I had an adapter from diode dynamics that goes from deutch connector to the 9006. I ended up measuring everything out and splicing in a second pair of deutch connections. It took a lit bit of time because I wanted to ensure it was long enough and water proof.

To mount the fog lights in the stock location, you just drill a hole underneath and use the universal bracket. Super easy and slick.

Once I mounted the bracket, I set the light on it so I knew where to cut. I forgot to take a picture of the hole but you will get the idea from the pics.

The key here is to ensure you have the ability to aim it down. It is possible so play around with it. Once everything was mounted I hooked up the wiring and checked levelness of the lights.

Aiming was a little tricky. I have the sports in the bottom grille and they have a nice hard cutoff, but the pros in the factory location put off a little more glare. So I really had to work on aiming since I have a ton of light coming out. There is some basic geometry around aiming but I usually drive through the neighborhood and see how the light hits parked cars of different sizes.

I have retrofitted headlights so it's no surprise they carve out some yellow in the center. Overall, this is a pretty powerful setup. Since I live in Washington state, I will get plenty of opportunities to test this setup out. It's usually foggy coming down mountains or going through the hills.

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks! I love when it comes out just as envisioned and with no hiccups.
