Tire Size Question...Limited 20's

I'm going to get new tires soon. The stock 245 60 size is really limited, I can't even find any off road oriented tires. While much of my driving is road, I do venture off road from time to time.

How big can I go before rubbing becomes an issue? I would like to get Nitto Ridge Grappler in size 275/65 but feel like these will be to big.

Anybody have experience with this setup? Or other tire suggestions?

 

I run 285/65r18 with no issues. I have a 3" lift as well.

 

On my LE, the 20" wheels are only for street use. I got the dealer to sell me a set of 17" take-offs from an SR5 for $200. They currently have Blizzak DM-V2s on for the winter (amazing in the snow), then I'll most likely swap between those tires in the winter and maybe a set of KO2s on the 17" wheels. When it's just around town driving I'll put the 20s on, if we're going on any kind of adventure, swap for the 17s. The tires options and characteristics of the 20" wheels for off-road use just don't make them a good choice for much more than pavement.Pro

 

Been contemplating getting some TRD wheels, wanted to check out my options first. The vast majority of my driving will be on the road, but I would like a tire that will do alright in the snow/mud/gravel that I will venture onto.
