    Hello all,
I just purchased a new 2022 ORP and about a week later I noticed where the bumper meets the fender in the wheel well it’s not flush in both sides. The driver side is completely flush while the passenger side isn’t. It doesn’t seem to be loose so I was just wondering if this is normal or has happened to anyone else? I know it’s minor, but it bothers me. Thanks in advance!

The first picture looks off. Probably something with the plastic clips that hold the bumper

That would bug me, too. I wonder if it's just not snapped in tight. I would take it back to the dealer and see if they can get it tight.

Driver's side definitely looks better. Problem is, if you go massaging things around to get that gap smaller by the wheel well on the passenger side, you might end up with issues under the headlight, in the area circled below. Several members have had issues with the bumper staying in tight there...pick your poison, so to speak. But, maybe not, and the dealer can get it all back to good.

I had something similar happen when I removed my bumper to replace headlights. I think I broke a small clip and it never was right after.

Same here. New bumper and it won’t stay in the clips under the headlight. Pops out on both sides. There is a TSB for this issue but anecdotally it seems about 50/50 whether the fix actually stays fixed.

On my current 4R, I decided to not touch the bumper for any reason.

I had to replaced the bumper in my 2020. It was the same way, the dealer tried the TSB fix and other options. It always pops out. It seems that the bumper is like a sail and the clips cannot hold it. I have paid attention since them and I see lots of 4Rs with the same gap. You can pop it back in, but it will be back out before you get to the end of the street. It is another 4Runner “thing”

Seems like a very minor issue. It's a utility vehicle. The fit is OK so unless the bumper starts to literally fall off I just wouldn't worry about it.

I bashed that corner in at bottom of the bumper on a log and got the plastic dent repaired.

Then when driving on a trail a few months later, I almost speared all the way through that corner of the bumper when a branch wedged itself right where the plastic mold turns into the wheel flare. Got a little divot there now. That part is right over the clip that holds the bumper.

After that much abuse, the little gap is still just as misaligned as it was when new lol.
