I might have missed it, but are you still running the stock tires? The change from P265/70's to a BFG 255/75 C-rated was dramatic for me. I have the Toytec 1.6's in front and Bilstein 1" in the back with 5100's on all four, but it wasn't until the tire change that a real difference in handling was noticeable.

Yes. Good point! The stock Bridgestones are awful. I’ll be changing them to BFG KO2s soon. Thanks. Curious why you went with the thinner 255/75 though. I was thinking of going with 275/70R17. Wouldn’t they fit?

Though I think skinny tires does not look good on a 4Runner looking dead straight skinny tires seems to be more functional than wider tires. I think those who like skinny tires highly recommend 255/80R17. Most 255/80R17 tires are 33in tall tires and very few 285/70R17 tires are 33in tall.

    Here's a good explanation -

Once you experience how well a moderately tall-n-skinny tire works, you quickly forget about the style aspect. In snow, soft surfaces (farm mud) and aired down for sand they are great. I have a set of DuraTrac's for winter and sloppy conditions, and KO2's for my 70/30 dirt road/paved driving.

I was hoping to find aftermarket sway bars for my wife's new 4 Runner. It also has IMO excess body roll in turns.
I replaced the stock sway bar bushings with Whiteline bushings and it helped. My wife could tell the difference. For me, it still needs better sway control.
IMO there is no substitute for a heavier sway bar when it comes to controlling body roll. From my research, no one offers an option for Gen5 4 Runners.
I'm hoping different springs and shocks will help in the near future.

Thanks. I’ll update the thread if I find something that fits. ADDCO is saying p/n 2301 for the rear, and I might try Hellwig’s Tacoma bar on the front.

Another fairly easy option would be air bags in the rear. I haven't tried them yet, but they worked well in my Frontier, and others like them in the 4R.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I'd try changing your tires and see if that improves anything. I found the handling of my similarly equipped 4Runner to be fantastic. I had stock size Falken Wildpeak AT3w put on day one, immediately after leaving the dealer.

Next up was my Eibach Pro Truck Lift (4 shocks / 4 springs). I have it set at the lowest setting on the front shocks. Finally I had SPC upper control arms added with my next tire size - 285/70R17.

Best handling in the curves was with 265 Falkens. 285's are bigger and heavier. While the steering is tighter with the UCAs, the mud tires don't grip as well. I can go pretty fast in the curves when it's dry. Wet / damp, I have to really slow down.

    I'd try some different tires.

Otherwise I hate to say it but...
You just need to get used to the way the 4Runner handles. It handles differently that most pickup trucks.

Off-road I find tippy is fun and am amazed about how sideways I get my 4Runner.

You have to tilt it until the trees are straight to really see. I think you're more tilted than me in yours.

I had an ‘08 4Runner for many years, so I thought I knew what to expect. It had the Urban Runner package though, which probably had sportier suspension for on-road shenanigans. Im pretty confident that tires and sway bars will do the trick on this ‘20 SR5.

I honestly believe in suspension. I put an Ironman suspension on and it was night and day difference. So much stiffer through the turns. This was me this past weekend going through a deep rut and my hood was just below this picture (phone was recording a video so I took a picture from that). I could reach out with no problem and touch the berm.

I have the same truck and problem with my eibach stage 1 kit. You really have 2 options besides finding a thicker sway bar.
1- go back to oem front springs and click up on your front eibach shocks to keep the ride level the same but stiffen it up.
2- purchase the Tacoma eibach front springs which are about 100lbs stiffer on each side and same geometry but longer and then click down on your front shocks to keep the ride height the same.
I am leaning towards the 2nd choice. Let me know what you end up doing.

OP, did you find a solution? I have been looking for heavier swaybars myself to control the bodyrol but have not been able to find any. Someone mentioned that the TRD Sport might have thicker bars. I have not been able to confirm that thus far.

Use the swaybar that comes on the Supra. This means you should trade it in the 4Runner for a Supra. It will handle the curves on the paved roads beautifully. You will never find a sway bar for the 4runner that does a better job.

I too, have a 2022 4 Runner TRD Pro. I have a 2006 Taco SR5 4 wd. My Taco can take curves and exit ramps about 20% faster than the 4 runner, due to body roll. I am looking at replacing the front sway bar with the Tacoma bar offered by Hellwig (part NO. 7719 looks like it should work). Anyone switched out theirs for this? Remember, also, the Taco has leaf springs in the rear, whereas the 4 runner has coil springs. I love the highway ride I am getting with the 4 runner, but hate the body lean/roll. It's actually scary compared to what I am used to with the Taco.

Any help is appreciated. i am wondering what the O.P. ended up doing.

Your 4runner is also 600 lbs heavier than your taco... And a lot of that weight is up higher as well...
