    I have a 2004 4Runner.
The right rear door got damaged. I removed the plastic panel and had it repainted. When I removed the panel, some of the plastic clips stayed on the panel, some stated on the door.
I have new plastic clips. Do I install them on the plastic panel, or on the door? I'm sure there is a correct way.

When I repaired my 4Runner I installed them on the trim piece and snapped them in, Either way will work. Guess it is what is easiest for that particular panel.
