    Does this look like rust to anyone? Im having a hard time being able to tell if it is. This seems to be the only area of the car where I see this type of color. Car was only driven in southern Arizona

    Heres more spots. I don’t notice it on the frame

    That's just the exhaust system. The heat and so forth can make it rust no matter what.

    That car looks very solid underneath with no rust or rot that I can see.

    Know the difference in types of rust based on types of metals. Unless you are spending big dollars on a titanium or similar exhaust, SURFACE rust occurs. Humidity in the air during monsoon season, car wash, puddles. Your rig has seen moisture. Flaky rust is indicative of a poor alloy mixture or other issues pertaining to how the part was made.

    New pine scent hanger, new sun shade
    Light surface rust. Normal oxidation.
