I would like to add a roof rack perhaps a 3/4 so I don’t cover the sunroof does anyone know of a decently priced one. Would love to find a decent one on Amazon if anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it

Also can anyone shine light on driving the 4Runner on a beach? We are heading to the beach next week and my wife would like to drive up and down the beach where they allow it.

I have read it’s bad for your car for all the small tiny particles of sand abs can cause issues with your vehicle. However, there is a sand feature on the car, any thoughts advice suggestions for doing it?

Most of them don’t. That’s an optional feature.

I don’t have any Amazon roof rack recommendations. I would learn to use the forum search functionality as there are probably 100 threads on this topic (heck my first post was asking about roof rack recommendations).
You can see my thread here:

I have driven in the beach a few times. Just wash your car after going on the beach. I take it to one of the do it yourself car wash and spray really well under the car and in the wheel wells. Test your 4WD before going on the beach and make sure it works. I had to recover a few different people when I went because their 4WD didn’t work after they got on the beach. You can see the video here:
    https://youtu.be/cN3s4X3-A3M
A Jeep Cherokee and a Ford F-250. The F-250 wasn’t but 150ft from the entrance to the beach and got stuck. I had pulled him up to the end of the video and he still couldn’t get out. So I had to pull him all the way to the asphalt which was another 20-30ft.
Make sure your tires aren’t bald. Idk where you live but depending on the beach make sure you don’t need a permit. That is about all I can think of. Be safe and have fun. Oh and watch the tide. I would hate to hear that your car washed out to the ocean because you got too close to the water and got stuck when hi-tide came in and no one could rescue you.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
I have a Cummins and with all that weight on the front end it sinks like a rock in soft stuff, my old runner will do circles around it off road all day long.
Dodge Cummins….the best hotdog you ever had wrapped in a moldy bun……

    oh yeah….AIR DOWN!

it does! We finally determined it is a trail premium, couldn’t be happier with it and got a steal on it on account of their mistake selling as a sr5 premium.

OP congrats on the 4R. It does seem like you have a trail premium which gives you a few more off roading goodies than an SR5P so that’s nice.

Now that you’ve talked so much about it you should post a picture of it :)

didn’t come with them but we’re on a trip now using a cargo carrier so I ordered them the day we bought it. Pretty cheap off brand on Amazon but very nice! Thoroughly impressed!
40 bucks for the 46 inch wish ida spring for the 60 inch just for the look.
