Other than that, how do you like your 4Runner?

BTW, all you can do to prevent rodent damage is wrap all wiring harnesses with capsaicin tape, put scented repellent in the engine compartment, and trap the critters. It’s an age-old problem, not unique to Toyota.

Now there is a great suggestion... capsaicin tape... seems to be semi-permanent. Thanks for the suggestion. Other than the above mentioned items, I think the 4runnner is great. I love the solid feel of driving it. It handles very good on highway considering its a truck, and handles great off road and in mud and snow. Love the size of interior space (leg and head room). Towing with it much better than all other SUVs I've towed with. Its quieter at highway speed with my winter knoby's than I would have expected (we did get acoustic dampening installed, though, so not exactly factory acoustics anymore).

2020 4runner with 22,000 miles been towed to shop twice in past 3 months in limp mode. 1st time, they said mice chewed wire harness. This time, its been at dealer since last week and they "think" it might be the throttle body (same problem and same error code as last time), so they are going to put my throttle body in another 2020 4runner and see if they can trigger the limp mode. It sounds like they they are throwing darts in the dark. Has anyone had any experience with a throttle body putting car into limp mode when you drive in the rain? thx in advance.
