What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Any pics of the mat setup? Is it the one that is an option in Canada? I have a 3rd row in my garage that I've been meaning to get around to installing into my truck. Have to make some adapter pieces and seatbelt brackets though.

Rotated the tires today and decided to use the stock factory bottle jack / screw jack. I’ve heard some complaints that it isnt tall enough to lift the front.

Well it worked fine with 265/70 KO2s. If you have bigger tires, you might need a board underneath the jack. This pic show it fully extended

Yes, this is the mat that is available from Canada . I bought it through tacomatownonline.com. The ability to use the 3rd row was a must and the factory mat wasn't going to cut it.
Here is the part number for the mat. 7 Passenger - PU550-89147-01 / PK241-89H01-01
Took about 6 days or so from the time it shipped to arrive in CA.

 

Found another issue on my 21 TRD Pro where water spray inside on car wash. Fixed under warranty and haven't tested yet to validate the fix. Atleast I have in writing that this was fixed if I get molding on headliner or related issues in future.

Yes it was a reproducible issue and sunroof was closed properly. One reason why I hate sunroof.

 

I always wanted one of these they are big bucks nowadays for a restored one.

 

Hello World , my name is India, and now part of and my dad's Overlanding co-pilot. Some of you in this group might recall my dad found me and my three siblings abandoned in the middle of nowhere on an overloading trip! Good on you. All 3 of ours area rescues. One from a farm, one from the street and one from a shelter. Congrats and hopefully the sister finds a great home soon.

 

Got my connectors and wired up my new 2022 OEM LED headlights. Post Office delivered my connectors late, just in time for dinner so I don’t have the 4Runner buttoned back up. Tomorrow though!

 

Getting closer to finishing up my rear drawer camping set up. Also removed the stock sliding tray which is now for sale…if anyone is looking for one

yes it has a few Velcro patches per piece. Seems to hold in place well. If I see it start to move around I will add some more.

 

Impulsive me picked up a diode dynamics 18” light bar.

where the hell am I suppose to put it?

 

It would fit ok right in front of the dome light. Or maybe as a rock light? Or maybe even an awesome engine bay light, just wire up a mercury switch or something so it come on when you pop the hood.

@Burnt Taco . I have not. Went on vacation last week in the Tundra/Rpod combo. Next week I’ll take it to the mountains and see. I had the same tires on a 16 and it didn’t rub but we’ll see.

 

Thank you to @MyWyfsRnnr for the vinyl hood scoop decal! Put it on today...quick shipping, clear instructions and very easy to do. figured i would pop off the front portion of the scoop and plasti-dip it to match. blacked out the rear too while i was at it. was going to go with the graphite pearl metallizer that @banxwondar did, but it wasnt coming out the way i wanted to so i went back over it with black. its ok for my first time. i need a very small amount of touch up, but overall im happy with it. wire brushed the receiver and hit it with black chassis paint as well.

for once it wasnt pouring or 95 degrees so i took advantage.

 

Do you have any pictures from further back to see what the hood decal looks like with the whole car?

 

I have had my new to me 4Runner Limited for about 3 weeks now. Changed over the low beams to HID, high beams to LED, and Yellow LED in the Fogs. Put on the "Fuel" wheels and BFG Bajas Champ rubber. Lastly I added a recovery shackle to the OEM receiver. Next thing is to tackle the running boards and replace them with a Nerf with steps. I.m about an hour away from the Rockies and would explain the snow in May.

@GrantA ham technician license question pool changes next month. Rendering the ham radio training class useless? I’m taking mine Thursday. Ham general doesn’t change till 2023
