My buddy has a 4th gen and his glove box locks with the key. Well, he locked it and now it won’t unlock.

This has to have happened to someone else? The dealer said they have to break it to get into it and wanted like $200 to replace the broken part. There has to be a better way?

Drive it to a locksmith. They can probably rake it open.

They probably won't have a replacement cylinder.

You can open it with a flathead. It will break the cylinder, but the open close mechanism should still work.

    Try another key?
Isn't there a valet key that only operates ignition? but won't unlock glovebox and trunk?
