So I purchased and installed a Victory 4x4 on my 5th Gen SR5 4Runner and while I love the build of the ladder itself - it is rock solid - note that the hardware supplied for assembly and installation is not stainless steel and will corrode. All the lock nuts on my ladder are corroded and rusting excessively after only 3 months - I live in NY State with harsh winters and wet rainy summers. If you purchase this ladder, just go to your local hardware store and buy replacement nuts and bolts in stainless and you'll be fine.

Good to know! Have had Victory on for a couple months. No winter here but beach and saltwater. I keep truck regularly cleaned and treated for any corrosion but will now pay special attention to the ladder hardware. I did paint then heavily treat the hatch area where the holes were drilled. Going to make that a regular check now. Thanks for the heads up.

Got a Gobi around 3 years ago, live in the harsh northeast. Don't see any corrosion on any bolts yet! Held up really nice so far.

    Worth the wait!
