I am planning a roof rack install very soon. I can't decide on what rack to get yet..

I plan on wash/clay bar/wax my roof before install of the rack.

Should I do something else? wrap, ceramic coat, clear bra?

I plan to do wrap the roof before I install a full length rack. That way I don’t have to worry about upkeep as a wash and wax will only last temporarily.

I got the roof of my 4Runner ceramic coated yesterday. Not sure which roof rack do you have but with the Prinsu/Victory 80/20 style stuff it's easy to take the cross bars off and clean the roof thoroughly every couple of months. That's what I have been doing but got the roof coated just in case.
With Gobi style racks cleaning the roof will be more difficult so having some kind of coating or wrap is not a bad idea.

What about a light coat of rhino liner, or similar product? My '18 TRDORP is superwhite so I'd love something that also helps reflect some of the heat keeping interior a few degrees cooler in this south Alabama heat.

    THoughts?

My brother used Henry's Solar Flex roofing paint on his Jeep. I haven't heard any complaints from him so far.

white is the best color for keeping heat down, and black the worst, so I would say that isn't the best idea.

Silver is better than white for keeping interior heat down believe it or not.

I shot mine with white Raptor Liner. No regerts. ;) White works. Before everything came with factory AC the auto makers painted roofs of cars and trucks white in case nobody noticed. Hehe
