Pretty much the only place I was able to secure the control unil without getting a relication kit. I made some brackets to clear the power steering hose but the TSS stuff got in the way.

Very nice, I've been looking at that CBI bumper and I'm pretty sure that's the way I'm going to go.

How are you liking it so far? I get my 2022 4Runner TRD Off-Road Monday and I've been thinking about the Covert bumper but I really like how the C4 has the high clearance addition to their bumper so I can't really make up my mind. I love CBI I've had their Prinsu roof rack on my RAV4 and I just like their products in general. Do you recoment the Covert bumper also do you think there is away to add the high clearance addition to the covert?

Install went pretty smooth. I would rec you take off the whole bumper vs how CBI shows in their install video. Will make life much easier.
Im pretty sure you will be able to add the high clearance additions to CBI if your willing to do some welding/mods but personally I would just get the C4 or SSO if those things are a must since they are designed to work together.

I've only had the bumper for couple of days but so far I like it. It was CBI vs C4 for me and I went with CBI for few reasons:

    1. I like the way the bumper goes all the way to the front skid plate without having that empty space under the radiator. With C4 and other lo pro bumpers you would have to either make the stock plastic part work with the bumper or maybe get the RCI bumper filler plate. CBI solution is better.

    2. Availability and price. I just checked my emails and I placed the order on 2/24 and the bumper was delivered on 4/12 so less than 7 weeks. C4 told me minimum 16 weeks.
Price was $725 on sale for no bullbar version @ 4runnerlifestyle but even at regular $850 its still a good buy since it comes powedercoated already.

I prefer the CBI one honest but I really like the clearance addition would be Aweosme if CBI added that too. I love how nice CBI’s bumpers look. I’m getting my 4Runner tomorrow hopefully and I would like to get one of those bumpers. We’ll see what happens! Awesome build!!

Looks awesome. Do you know if the TRD skidplate would mount up to the CBI?

Thanks. From what I have seen the TRD skidplate will not work without some modifications but it shouldn't be a big deal.

Looks great! Did you install that forward facing camera yourself? It looks like it's actually in front of the TSS plate -- any indication of interference with the TSS system?

I did install it myself and there is no interference at all. The actual sensor is not that big.

    Your ride looks fantastic!

That was my dilemma as well.

The CBI Baja Lo-Pro was my first choice and comes with powder coating vs. C4's. That, plus CBI's Black Friday sale made it a no-brainer.
My only contention was CBI's poor track record of customer service, but they seemed to answer my Emails(3 of them) within a couple of days.

I was quoted at 4 weeks(NOT holding my breath in the least), and have heard about nightmare wait times, but it seems like you received yours in
a relatively timely fashion. That's reassuring. I went ahead and ordered mine, and hope things go as smoothly as your purchase did!

That was one of my questions in addition to TSS clearance with the full height Bull Bar. The CBI rep stated that the bumper IS compatible with the factory TRD Pro skid plate, so fingers crossed!
