Tesla solar panel package.

Neighbor’s got it set up in a day then up until 7:30pm last night. They ran into a problem with the new battery pack. It was bad from factory the switching part of it. Or something.
There’s two sides of this garage covered. I may be able to tie into it.

 

Not sure if this solar panel for home topic is within the rules of 4Runner forum rules.

But I'm thinking about solar panels too. I'm thinking if I would get a benefit adding the parts and labor cost for install as right now I have reasonable utility bill (electric + gas) even working from home.

 

Ya my electric bill is as low as $80 never above $200.
No gas
So if I ran power, I think it’s three phase. I could save a couple grand a year.
The kit was 40k.

 

I've seen 150sh max. So wondering if I need to get solar or current bill is not high enough to benefit.

 

Well this morning heading out there was a loud buzzing coming from the solar panel or something. Techs are over there now!

My energy (PG&E) bill hit $700. last winter so I went solar with the tesla battery. (10 year warranty) Solar powers the house during the day, tesla battery powers the house at night. There were a couple months last summer where I had no power bill and the tesla battery would be 100% charged by 1pm. Big difference in the winter months where you were lucky to get the battery to 50% all day. Shorter days and overcast skies take a lot away BUT last months bill was $220. compared to $700. a year ago. I told the wife to run the heater and do laundry because we need to figure out our baseline. I also have 2 large fish tanks and 2 ponds which contribute to the power bill. This is all part of my retirement plan because $700. bills are not conducive to retirement funds. Neither is living in CA but I have my dream home where I plan to retire and it's 4k/sq. ft. Hope this helps anyone thinking about going solar.
