Trying to decide between Pirelli All Terrain Plus and Michelin Defender LTX M/S for a 2019 4Runner TRD Off Road.
My off roading is very light, fire roads, gravel roads, and dirt roads. Nothing heavy. Probably 90% on pavement.
I like the looks of the Pirellis and they get good reviews but some reports are that they are very noisy on pavement and get loader with use.
The Michelin Defenders get very good reviews and are reportedly very quiet and to perform well for light off roading.
I would like to get some opinions on these, especially if you have experience with one or both of these tires. THANKS!!

I have the Michelin's. They performed pretty well during this past icy winter, and seem to have good wet traction as well (aside from slippery wet grass). Definitely pretty quiet on the highway. I do plan on getting some AT's at some point, and I'll save the Michelin's for winter use until they're ready to be replaced.

I imagine they'd be fine for mild off-road use, but I haven't had a chance to put them to a test yet as I only got my 4Runner at the end of last October.

    Lots of goodies
My bro got 80,000 miles out of those Michelins. Not sure about the ATPs, but I had Pirelli Scorpion ATs on my Tundra. They were the least capable off road of any AT tires I have owned. The rubber seemed kinda hard/firm and susceptible to chunks being torn off in rocks. They also had terrible wet road traction. Fwiw
