04' SR5 - The back door is completely non functioning. window track rusted out and motor completely gone. Anyone have any ideas what it would take to get a fully functioning replacement for the entire back hatch assembly? I plan on painting the whole vehicle so color isn't a factor. Thanks!

Go to car-part.com. Make sure to put the dash in it. On there you can search salvage yards all over the country. I would try to get the same color if possible so you won’t have to paint the inside or the jamb area.

Thanks! - Not too worried about the color - plan on a whole new paint job after the install anyway

I understand but if you change color they’ll have a lot more work to do. They will have to mask and paint the interior side of the hatch as well as the sides and bottom where it closes. It’s a good bit of work. I’m just saying if you can find your color it’s much easier and cheaper even if you’re painting the whole vehicle.
