We recently brought home a '22 Tacoma SR, DC V6, 4x4. It's gonna be my wife's ride for a while because we traded in her Sequoia (on a different vehicle), but it'll be my son's later this year or early 2023 and she'll get something else.

Anyway, I'm amazed at what standard options come on an "SR". It used to be...an SR (or anything below SR5) came with manual locks, hand-crank windows, no A/C, vinyl floors (and seats half the time).

A '22 SR (DC V6, 4x4) has, standard, power locks, power windows, remote key-fob entry, cruise control, A/C, Dual-zone climate control with digital read out, intermittent wipers, full carpeting, nice cloth seats, sliding rear window, touch screen head unit, back up camera (yeah, I know it's required).

My '22 T4R ORP doesn't even have dual-zone climate control!

I guess it's that much cheaper to streamline production and throw the entry-level buyers a bone than to create an entire "bare bones" production line.

Anyway, it still wasn't cheap, but for anyone contemplating a Tacoma SR V6 DC, they come nicely equipped!
