    I don't see anything wrong with that. Cars using less fuel is good. And it's average, it doesn't mean that every vehicle has to get 49 MPG. We're not all going to have to drive around in a Prius.

    Also, I just read on the other day that the auto industry is behind this, so clearly they're not too worried about it. Or maybe they just figure that the Republicans will be back in power in 2024, and instead will require everybody to drive a 1 ton dually diesel tuned to roll coal.

    1 ton dually diesel all day over a Prius here...except I don’t need to roll coal, I am not a teenager that thinks it’s cool and what diesels are meant for.

    Yep, nothing wrong with it and it is just an average. You will still have your precious gas guzzlers.

    Seems like the more they try to make vehicles get better mpg, the less reliable they become though...
