Now, I understand the logic behind BMR kits. It is so that larger tires can be used with minimal rubbing or none at all. I've been contemplating back and forth on this and I've come to realized that I don't really see the benefits on doing BMR because:

    1. If you already have an aggressive (example: SRQ or RSG fab) cut it will resemble a BMR. This will also clear larger tires from what I've seen.

    2. It doesn't relocate the mount any further back. It still uses the same existing hole and everything is mounted back into the same spot.

    3. This is just my theory and hypothetically speaking, it could potentially eliminate the added protection that the stock body mount was supposedly designed for (I believe), which is to protect the wheel from crushing or pushing through the firewall in an event of an accident. Can it happen? Possibly!

    4. For some that lives in a state where the vehicle gets inspected, it could also fail inspection due to tampering of the frame. Not sure if this has ever happened?

I can see if someone was doing a firewall tub along with a BMR by moving the mount back (not sure if possible), than I can see the benefits of doing the BMR. What are your thoughts? What are some pros/cons on doing a BMR? Pls enlighten me as to why one should need it?
