WTF, I don't get it. Maybe, I'll try again, but, I'm sure it didn't work with mine.

I got the same sensor and will try programming it next week. So you just
This is awesome if it shows the tp for spare. Mine is a 2020 venture sb the same as orp. I got the same sensor and will try programming it next week. So you just followed the instruction on pg 475 to register the new sensors and that's it?

Yea, I don't get it. Furthermore, when I added the 5th sensor, I could not get any of them to register and my dash only showed 4 blank spaces for the tire pressure. So the fifth sensor seemed to only confuse the system.

I do know that it is a pain to lower the spare, break the bead, add a sensor, and put the spare back up only to redo the process when it does not work and pull the sensor back out.

Ouch, it must be a programming thing done by a shop. I had the OEM spare under my 4runner and the new spare with the sensor in the back hatch area. I put on a Rigd ultraswing and it's still displaying tire pressure for the 5th wheel. Not sure if the pro differs, but it may be worth it to take it to a tire joint to see if they can get it programmed.

After putting in new sensors and you’re driving waiting for them to kick on, i know the screen wont show Numbers. But will the tpms light be on or off?

I have read that the spare tire TPMS should match the TPMS sensors on the 4 driving wheels. I got a new set of wheels and tires from TireRack and bought the TPMS sensors from them. I was able to get the TPMS light to go off after 5 minutes of driving, but then it came on permanently on my 2020 TRD OR. Believe the new TPMS have to be programmed by the dealer as most tire shops do not have the proper programming tool. Kind of annoying, but I just drove around with the TPWS light on.

My guess is that Costco kept your old TPMS sensors, so they worked fine. Or they own the proper programming tool. It's kind of a pain on the 2020+ models trying to register NEW sensors, especially if you do not touch the spare tire (which I believe has a sensor).

I got tire / wheels and sensors from DT and now I'm living this nightmare :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

Update : I ended up resetting the system and waiting for it to relearn the new sensors. :taco:

I was banned for a month so just now seeing this. If you are talking about my posts. I bought 5 TPMS sensors for my new wheels and tires and I installed them on the rims before Costco touched them. Costco was able to program 5 sensors. My OEM sensors are in my stock tires and wheels in my garage.

I just got an Autel TS508 TPMS tool and some Autel MX sensors that I can clone to the 4Runner sensors when the 4Runner finally shows up. The tool is pretty cheap compared to the Bartec tool I have but the Autel gives free updates unlike the Bartec.

I'll see how it goes. I got 4 new tires and wheels with sensors coming in any day from tirerack. Hopefully the spare tire having a different sensor doesn't mess me up with the relearn. These are going on a 2022 orp.

I got 5 new wheels and instead of having the TPMS sensors transferred to my new wheels and tires I had them install new ones. Needless to say they work intermittently. I noticed when on a longer drive they will just go out and stop reporting (like they got tired). Then restarting the car and they work again. I just rotated my tires and now they are complaining again (I believe it is because I didn’t have the spare calibrated to my car). So rotating in the spare threw everything off. Need to make another trip to discount. Found out the OEM TPMS sensors are not cheap (like $200 a piece). Now I regret having the Discount Tire TPMS sensors vs. factory. But too late, lesson learned.

Newbie here! I have a 2019 Limited and my TPMS light is on. I know I have read and was able to see what the PSI in my tires are, but can't remember of find the information to access this. Here's what I am looking for...

My 19 Limited doesn't show pressures, just the idiot light. I don't think that was available until 20.( My build date was 8/19 )

Anything I can try to avoid going to dealer.

Last winter I put on 4 new winter tires on my OEM wheels, kept the OEM pressure sensors on the wheels and the spare. All 5 sensor reading worked no issues.
After winter got a set of 4 new wheels with 4 new tires and 4 NEW sensors. The spare tire stayed with the OEM sensor. With this combo still all the readings were OK, no issues.
Week ago I put on my winter set up back on that set up has the OEM sensors, did the wheel set change in the menu. All goes by the book, the warning flashes, the sensors are being registered, the light goes out but no tire pressure. After driving for a bit the light flashed and I get a messages to go see a dealer for faulty TPMS system.

What gives? It was working before with no issues.
