Kidding aside, I just got me my first 4Runner and Im excited to take it places! Car runs very nicely and feels smooth. Any recs on where I can get a new skid plate? It came with one but looks a bit worn. I also noticed it came with Bilsteins but dealer didn’t mention that. I can’t find online if the 2009 Limited trims came with those or if these are aftermarket.

The Bilsteins if they are Yellow and Blue would be a After Market install (pretty good choice) if you plan to do any lift beyond small spacers you will need to check to see see if you have Xreas suspension if you don't great you can lift it with real lift set up, If it has Xreas You can remove it then lift it otherwise not much more than small spacers. (this suspension was Optional on the 2009 limited) and somewhat expensive to repair for what it does.

you can tell if it has Xreas by looking at the Rear shocks and if the is a flex hydraulic line going to the top of the shocks that runs to the center right side of the frame there will be a Small canister about 4 inches long with a 2 inch diameter, You can disable and remove it I am sure there are Youtube videos on how to do that

As for Skid Plate there are several places that make very nice ones depending on what kind of budget you want to work with the sky is the limit there if you don't want stock one, I can't possibly name them all however if you do not plan on hard off road just get a good Aluminum one.
