The entire Jackass/CKY crew, multitudes of Philadelphia pro sports players retired and active, Michael Jackson, Shaq, Jose Canseco, Brad Garrett are who I can think of off the top of my head. Worked in the home arena of the Flyers/Sixers and live in Vegas now, it's hard not to bump into a celebrity.

Michael Jordon, Kevin Butler, ( kicker of the '85 Bears ). Stevie Nicks, Toy Caldwel, ( of the Marshal Tucker band ) now deceased, and the rest of his band. To anybody who may know who he was, Eddie Clearwater. ( was a good friend and neighbor, " The Chief"). GenoBluzGtr might know of Eddie,( now deceased as well ) Muddy Waters inspired his name. . Probably some more that I cannot think of right now. Oh, when I was very young, Roy Rodgers.
Maybe I can add some more later. :notsure:

I certainly do! Chicago blues man, awesome entertainer and a good guitar player, as well. He would occasionally wear fully Indian headdresses on stage! And yes, I had heard that he chose "Clearwater" as a stage name as a nod to Muddy.

I grew up in North Mississippi, and while I never got to meet many of the greats, I did see quite a few playing in Juke Joints locally when they were home from touring. Never got to see Eddie play live though. I think he only recently passed away?

He passed in 2018. He was my next door neighbor back when I lived in the Chicago area. He used to reserve premium seating for my wife and I at some of his gigs. Always would dedicate a song to Mark & Sue, (us). He even loaned me his headdress one Halloween when I dressed as a Native American. Great memories of a great friend. Real name was Eddie Harrington. I have a couple signed albums as well.
Nothing like good 'ol Chicago blues and rock!

I drove the Oak Ridge Boys from SLC, UT to Jackpot, NV back in 2010 when I drove tour buses for a living. Had no idea who they were, just that they were a band based on the fact that they had a bunch of instruments with them. They tipped me well, were very nice people, and I got a free steak dinner from the casino. Can't complain. When I told my mom later she excoriated me for not getting anything autographed lol. I was like "I had no idea, they were just a bunch of bearded old men to me."

Phillip Rivers, Michael Phelps, Jr Seau, Paul Teutul Sr.

I worked in a fine dining restaurant across the street from San Diego International Airport that was right on the water, so we had our fair share. Most of them blended in pretty well. Paul Teutul Sr had me do a double take. Tank top and jeans just like in the show!! I recognized him very quickly. I went outside to see if he brought any of his bikes (didn’t expect it, but worth a shot). Sadly nada. Rivers is pretty quite, which I didn’t expect, but very nice and polite.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I went to boot camp right there. Yep, Hollywood Marine.

They were cruel about the location, too. The "Confidence" course (read obstacle course), was right up against the airport's fence, on the side of the runway, and the course for the 3 mile PFT run was along one side of the fence, around a corner, and then down another side. Then back.
No matter how miserable you felt, the airport was right there, a 8 foot chain link fence away. A little barbed wire on top, but no big deal. Thing was, by the time you felt confident enough that you could climb the fence, you were close to done, so you'd figure, why bother?

Another part of the boot camp grounds shared a fence with the Navy boot camp, right next door. Sometimes the Navy guys would figure they could get out of their boot camp by jumping the fence onto ours. Didn't work. They were immediately enrolled in the Marines, and started boot camp from the beginning. OUR boot camp. Many of them were VERY disappointed, but they invariably graduated as a Marine eventually :D

Anywho, all that is right there in San Diego, right beside the airport. I don't think much has changed since I was there, although it's been a few years. And a few on top of that...

Sorry, just remembering a while back :D

I have met Pat McCormic. He had a show taped on Chanel 4, I think, on Jack London Square. He was a LOT thinner, and had more hair back then. He had a show, Capt. Satellite, where he'd take 4 kids on a "Spaceship", touring the universe of cartoons, and so on. My sister and I were two of the kids on once, and we took over. Playing up Star Trek, which had just come out. Like "Oh no! A Space monster (Slurpee, back when he came out in 7-11s)! Fire Phasers!!" :laser:
When they were done taping, poor Pat M. just sat in a chair and shook his head at us. :help:
Hey, WE had a lot of fun

I met Andy Griffin (Griffith??), the guy from Mayberry, in the Memphis Airport one evening n my way home for leave. He was very short and unfriendly. Real jerk.

I met Robert Conrad in Yuma, AND the legendary Pappy Boyinton. They were there for the Stnd Up of VMFAT-513, The Black Sheep! Both were very cool, and very short.
So was Sly Stallone, there to film Rambo III. Short-man attitude big time. A friend of mine did get to play a dead soldier in one scene :)
The cast and crew of Star Wars were there for a while too. They were filming the stuff with Jabba's Sail Barge. It blew up awesomely!! Yuma was a real popular place to film desert scenes for anything. Huge sand dunes real nearby.
I met Chuck Norris in Beaufort Sc. one evening. He was there to check on one of his Dojos there. He was in a pizza place for dinner. Another short guy, but NO attitude at all. Like he needs an attitude???? Very friendly, very nice guy.
Met Jack LaLane. He was in Yuma for a book signing at the Base PX. Another real nice guy. Muscles on his muscle LOL! :muscleflexing:

Egad, I've met more people than I thought...

    Pat☺

When I was a young soldier stationed in Washington DC, I was tasked to drive Dr Novello (USSG) to her fancy black tie nomination celebration. There were hundreds of people there, congress people, senators, generals. I didn’t know anyone so I parked by one of like 20 tables of food. Next thing I know C. Everett Coop and Dick Cheney (then Sec Def) are hanging out with me stealing these incredible grilled prosciutto wrapped shrimp off the tray while the yahoos were doing a thousand toasts. Some fat lady in an apron came and shoo’ed us off. It was hilarious that she ran off 2 of the (then) most powerful men in the US govt. I drove Dr. Novello around a few times. She was extremely cool. She made me a sandwich one time after a very late night downtown, no joke. About a year later I had to drive Cheney to the US capitol building for some kind of meeting. Very cool dude. Coop was a cigar smokin machine, by the way.
I got to hang out with Robin Williams for about 10 minutes before his last troop morale show in Khandahar. That guy was an incredible human being, so much genuine love in his heart, such a tragedy how he went. RIP

Almost forgot, I also met Shania Twain in 1992. She was just starting to get famous then. Photos do not do her justice. In person she is truly breath-takingly beautiful.

One of my buddies was a weekend DJ at a Houston rock station. For my birthday in1979 he got us tickets and backstage passes to Journey. The warmup was AC/DC. After the incredible show I got to meet both bands. I remember Bon Scott vividly and he was gone less than 8 months later. RIP

I’ve met bunches of musicians and singers. My favorite was definitely EmmyLou Harris. Got to play music with Doc Severinsen once. And Maynard Ferguson too if any of y’all have ever even heard of him.

My previous career put me around politicians more than I would have liked. A friend of mine’s dad was who Dick Chaney accidentally shot while dove hunting. The media made it sound a lot more careless than it really was. I was on W’s protective detail once. What a PITA that was. I strongly dislike politics and have no patience for those in it.

Got to meet Nolan Ryan outside the Astro Village Hotel not long after he joined the Astros. Some sort of hunting or gun show, I don’t remember which. Just a few years ago I met his son Reid at an Astros game. Nice enough guy. Also met other Astros over the years. Got an autographed ball from Jose Cruz and a cap from Roger Clemens (ego maniac).

Farrah Fawcett lived not far from me a little north of Houston. My high school girlfriend knew her from working at a veterinarian’s office and I met her a time or two. Smokin hot.

There’s probably more that I’ve forgotten.

Maynard Ferguson... that guy could do things with a trumpet!

I met John Travolta once. Perfect gentleman. Another that was a very pleasant person was Gwyneth Paltrow. She and her kids flew on one of our helicopters. We have the occasional celebs that fly with us from time to time.

Now for the pricks: Ashton Kutcher - one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure to be around. I will not watch anything be it a show or a movie he has been in, and I refuse to purchase anything he endorses. Nikon Cameras, that means you. Mr. Kutcher needs his mouth washed out with soap or acid of some sort... There are others, but for the moment I am burned up thinking of this clown...

Not surprising at all. I did not meet her, but when they were filming GI Jane I was around Demi Moore a little bit for a few weeks. She is not very nice either. She was married to Bruce Willis at the time and she was out at the club shitfaced making out with one of the prick actors from the film and making a general ass of herself. She was something fine to look at though, lemme tell ya. She is a tiny little thing.

I didn’t actually meet them, but I was walking out of a burger joint off I-15 near Vista, CA and I see this curvy blonde in a tight dress and heels looking like a million bucks walking up. Every male within 50 yards was watching. That chick has swagger. When I realized who it was I looked in the direction she came from and her old man was sitting at the wheel of a black Escalade grinning at me. I smiled and waved and he threw me a peace sign. That cat is living the dream.

Cecil Fielder, Sparky Anderson and a bunch of other Tigers when I worked security at Tiger Stadium back in the early 90's. John Denver when I was a kid, Martina Navratilova and her partner snowboarding in Vail (she kept asking about my wife who was on the chair behind us), James Hetfield at Heathrow airport- very cool guy. Kid Rock at Detroit Metro- total dick, just like you would expect. I also got to spend a day riding motorcycles with Erik Buell- that was a great time.

Anyone see the movie Rescued by Ruby, or hear the story about the rescue dog that became a Rhode Island State Trooper K9? My girlfriend and I met Ruby and her handler Trooper O'Neill a few years ago at a dog event. She was doing a demo of her searching skills, and took a quick break from her search to come over and say hi to us. Well, I say "us", but she was especially interested in my girlfriend's chocolate lab. He IS quite a handsome boy, LOL.

I also walked by Shaquille O'Neal at Caesars Palace in Vegas a while back, but I'm way more excited to have met Ruby haha.

I promised never to say his name, Super Good Guy ! I took him for 12 hours all around town to his favorite bars, gave me a $3,500 dollar tip.

And that’s off the top of my head, many more on the list but my CRS on a Sunday morning is strong…..LOL.

Oh yeah….Mike Tyson and multiple other sports guys, a few were disappointed that I didn’t know who they were. Also Dana White when he first came to town starting the UFC, I’ll never forget when I dropped him off at the MGM, he said UFC will be a household name before you know it. I told him good luck with that ! I’ve heard that story a million times haha….boy he was right.

Steve Gustafson from 10000 Maniacs, Dick. A bunch of the Carolina Hurricanes. All great. Several of them are neighbors. Hockey guys seem to all be very humble.

When I was stationed on Kauai, HI, they filmed a movie in `91 or so called "Flight of the Intruder". I was cast as a paid extra. I had a mark, got paid, and had to join the Screen Actor's Guild union. Got paid $358 by Paramount and got to see the private premier.

Famous actors were Willem Dafoe, Danny Glover, and Roseanna Arquette.

Hung out with all of them. Willem Dafoe is an awesome guy; super nice, friendly, funny, and loves to hang out with fans and normal people. Danny Glover is a dick. Roseanna Arquette was a bitch to other attractive females, but hit on me hard.

Saw Sylvester Stallone drive by in a light blue 60's Corvette while on the island, and my girlfriend spent an afternoon with Slash's girlfriend when they stayed at the Westin Kauai.

My uncle is a carpenter to the stars in Sun Valley, ID and has met and worked for dozens of celebrities while building custom kitchens for their multi-million dollar ski resort cabins. He is like a bank vault and refuses to talk about his clients, which is why he is in such high demand, I guess.

    Thanks!

Yeah, literally the first line of the movie had me cringing, that attempt at an accent was pretty bad. Once I got past that though, I got into the story. Crazy thing, other than the details of where they got her (The trooper himself didn't find her, the woman from the shelter knew Scott Wolf's character), everything that happened was true. She really did save the son of the woman from the shelter.
