Greetings. OEM tires on my 2022 4Runner TRD Sport are 245 60 20. Would like to install AT tires but having a very difficult time finding tires this size. Do I need to purchase new rims to get a good AT tire? If so, what makes most sense. Most of my driving is on-road. But I do some off-road driving in Colorado/Utah.

Yeah, unfortunately 20” wheels are counter to the idea of off-road or all-terrain tires. 20” wheels require low-profile tires, with less sidewall roll, for better cornering on highways. But for the same reason (no sidewall give) they’re not great for off-road, where you want softer sidewalls, both for comfort and tread-conforming grip. So a 17” wheel (the smallest our brakes allow) will allow for a much wider selection of off-road/AT tires with a lot more sidewall. Which explains why the off-road trims come with 17” wheels.

May be upgrade to 17in wheels and tires are a better choice.

I had 275/55R20 but they don't have much side wall. 20in wheels should not exist in 4Runner world IMO.
