    @PhantomTweak
    Sir, please tell me you have a flip phone with the $25 plan. Phantom folks aren't comfortable with touch screens :)

    I like my flip phone, my friend Barney Rubble has one too! Actually, found my Convoy 4 has a signal when my co-workers' smart phone doesn't, and battery life is great. I'm kind of a dinosaur when it comes to cell phones, although the thought of getting an Android smart phone has been on my mind... sometimes.

    Android. Apple pushers claim their phones are superior. It took crapple like 2 years longer to get 5g. You pay a fortune for the phone then they try to control what you can put on YOUR phone so you have to jailbreak it. Now samsung has decided to go the apple way and got rid of removable storage. Not sure what my next phone will be but it won't be Apple.

    I've never had anything but an iPhone. No interest in changing to something else.

    Depends on what you do with it. I use mine for viewing documents for work, spreadsheets, etc. Apples ability to do that is terrible. Its just not what they do. For social, videos and photos, Apple is the superior product. However, Apple should be ashamed for what they do. Greedy. A new phone every 37 minutes. Cord types and plugs change and they are proprietary, as mentioned above, they limit what they think you should do.

    I have been a Note guy until the Explode-a-Note came along, then went to a 7+ as it was the only large screen option at the time. Then back to Samsung S series. Now with a 22+ and it does everything I need.

    Side note. If you are able, never buy your Samsung from the phone company. The 22+ at the time was $1,200 from T-Mobile/Sprint. I paid $540 direct from Samsung's website. Of course I had to buy it outright and not finance it, but to save $700? Ya, its more than worth it.

    IMO, depends on what you want to do with it. I've had both, but I mainly play in Apple's ecosystem now. Has a lot to do with interface consistency from app to app, especially when it comes to where settings reside. Also how smoothly all of their applications work together with one another. Kind of a benefit of the walled environment. MS Office integration is kinda meh, Google integration is actually not too bad.

    I do miss the ability of most Android phones to use a supplemental SD card for data storage instead of paying for a phone with more built-in memory.

    Neither are junk, much to the chagrin of platform fanbois. Just different use cases.

    I like how smooth Apple is but I've lost few videos due to this errors.
    Love how Android work as an external hard drive. Of cause having closer to 1TB of storage never worry of storing anything from documents to movies..

    Lots of goodies
    I have used iPhones for close to 20 years. I had an android not long after they released and I was too used to my iPhone to get comfortable with it. My current one is about a 4 year old (?) iPhone 8 and support is already dropping off. When it dies I am getting the cheapest phone I can get that will send texts. The prices are too ridiculous now.

    My first personal computer had Windows NT 4.0, and first smartphone was an Android LG. So I have been with them all these years. Hard to change habits. I am very skilled in different Unix and Linux flavors but my personal computer has always been Windows.

    Regarding pricing, I usually wait for the big promotions. I got ~$600 trade in for my iPhone 8 with a scratched screen. Not bad after 4 years of use and a $699 price tag.

    Folks who may be wondering how come Apple iOS despite dealing with less resources, runs as fast as Android systems with more resources. It is so because Apple iOS is optimized for just one hardware architecture. While Android kernel can handle many architectures. It is similar to how reliable and secure Solaris/SPARC combo was Vs. Windows/Intel back in the day.

    I like Apple, but Apple hates me. For the most part my opinion of Apple has been waning, they were once so far ahead of everyone with smart phones, but their irritating business practices of nickel and diming me for charging bricks, headphones, dongles, charging cables is testing me.

    I managed to run an iPhone 5 for nearly 10 years until I ran over it with my 4runner. They support their devices for a long time, they just don't allow you to fix them yourself which is something I'll never stand for.
