I have been driving Mom’s 2013 Sienna 3.5L. I almost wish my 4Runner had this engine. Torque throw you back in the seat

. I always thought when riding with mom she was hammering the go pedal from stops. But no this thing runs like a bat out of hell.

Oh yeahh I roll up to the red light blasting some Marilyn Manson on the JBL STSTEM. Look over with a wink and a smile to the young babe in the sports car next to me.

Drive a Tacoma with the 3.5, then come back.

Yes the Atkinson cycle in the Tacomas, I understand is a dog, but this in the Sienna is not the same.

    I need wheelie bars

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
that 3.5 is why I went with a 4Runner and not another Tacoma

0-60 for the 2013 Sienna is 7.6 seconds, quarter mile is 15.9.
    0-60 for the 2014 4Runner is 7.6 seconds, quarter mile is 15.9.
They're neck-and-neck, so it must be a preception thing.

My assometer knows better, probably gearing. I have not tried, but I’m thinking I could get some front tire smoke

Yeah, plus the front end lifts on acceleration in a FWD vehicle, whereas the rear end squats in a RWD one. Looks the same to a bystander, but two different feelings.

Now I get it, throttle response.
Threw on a pedal commander. The runner is now a runner
Now I have to ditch the shaggin wagon.

Noooo....put pedal commander on the Sienna....it'll be like launching a rocket
but I know what ya mean in the original post. We had two Siennas over the years. My wifes daily driver and she went like a bat out of hell n those things (well in everything she drives...) between flooring it and pulling 9g turns at every corner, she ran through tires and brakes like they were nothing, but they're great vehicles.
